First time I drove a Cobra, first Cobra I ever drove
Well, Saturday morning we put the Medusa Body on the FF5 frame and took that lady for her/my first drive.
Mike had toyed with her in the parking lot at his shop.
But:
Saturday was the first time I drove a Cobra.
Saturday SHE was the first Cobra I ever drove.
Saturday was HER first time on city streets.
WOW!
The white unpainted body is for mock up.

This is the body she will end up with: (SRP's handywork)

First time
It reminds me the first time I drove my Cobra. One of my most wonderful days in my life. And five years after this first drive, I have the same smile every time I drive my Cobra.

Blake:
In one of my many crazy moments, I purchased this mold from FiberJet Industries about a year ago. Tim and Dan Fodge, together, created this 427 mold and cast about a dozen or so bodies out of it several years back. There is even an ad in an old Specialty Car Magazine offering the bodies for sale.
Not wanting to wait to create my own chassis, I gambled that she would fit a FF5 frame, she does, dang well, doing final fitment now, no cutting yet.
CobraEd:
{{Dude, is that Cobra is VERY big?}}
She's sitting on a FF5 frame, I'm just vertically challanged.
Mike,
How's the Bride holding up waiting for April 1st?
Carroll DeWeese:
It's been a long time coming:
Caliofornia Custom Cobras, I ordered stuff from: wrong brakes, (4 fronts),wheels don't fit over Wildwood calipers (had to add spacers for now), 327 gears wouldn't fit, waited forever for other parts.......
Just got the Compomotive rear wheels Friday noon, after ordering 10 months ago.
FF5 delivered wrong shocks, springs, dash, headers, sidepipes, and on, and on, and on.
I went to wrong engine builder initially, he sat on engine for 4 months/no progress.
Was it worth it? Yes, but I've learned certain companies/suppliers/venders to stay away from.
