Recheck your ad. Your looking to start at 16 1/2 Grand ,. That could limit bidders. LOL

I am sitting here and thinking...
I can go ahead and bid on them and cost you couple of grand in EBay commissions.
Have no intention of paying for them ofcourse! Worst you can do is give me "negative feedback". oooooo, I am so scared.
$16,500.00 Sounds like a deal. I hope you accept Second Mortgages.

Maybe I can raffle them off at Knotts to help pay for Brents new engine. Can we make it look like a 501c3 so we can all get a tax break??
You forget I know where you sleep.

Michael:
First off let me say I have not worked with a set of Trigos and do not know how deep the pin holes are machined into the mounting pads on the back of the wheels. Would it be possible to remove material from the pad to effectively reduce the track width when they are mounted and if necessary shorten the pins too?? You had mentioned that the tires were near the wheel lip opening when you finally got them mounted?? Am I oversimplifying your problem??? This is how the various offsets are created in the first place once the wheel width is finalized.

Rick,
If you spent $16,500 plus shipping for a set of wheels....I don't think you should be machining anything. They should at least be ready to bolt on.

The problem was easily solved by calling Phil Schmidt at PS Engineering. See my photo gallery.
Actually to affect offset you need to place the wheel center where it needs to be. You can't remove material from the back of a (any) knock off wheel and affect offset as the center of the wheel also has a bearing surface with the hub.
Trigo makes one offset, good for coffee tables.. Not so good for custom applications.

You guys are a riot.. Sorry Howard.. It was $$$ to get the tires mounted and balanced I'm not going further in the hole taking them off.. Besides the coffee tables might tip over if these things are off balance. this is earthquake country after all..

I am sure these wheels are perfect, but you are offering the wheels for exactly the cost of new ones from Trigo. The complete set is 2400, and since you can purcahse the hub adapters for $750, that makes the price $1650 for the wheels. My understanding is that you are offering the wheels without the adapters for $1650. You might want to give the buyer a small discount to entice. I am sure yours are as good as new, but a buyer does not have the same warrantees as you do as the primary purchaser of the wheels. Maybe that's a moot point. I also think you misunderstood Rick Parker's point, if you were to machine the inner wheel face down by 1/4 inch and you could shorten the wheel pins by the same, you would effectively alter the the backspacing of the wheel such that the wheel would move 1/4 inch toward the inside of the wheel well. The questions about how much you can safely remove from the inner face and how short the wheel studs can be, I cannot answer, but Rick's theory is sensible. Good luck

Frank.. The $1650 includes a brand new set of Eagle GTII's in 235/60 and 295/50 mounted balanced and ready to run.. Discounts are one thing.. It's getting to the point I will need to give the buyer some government cheese..

I checked with Lynn a while back about machining a little off of the back side to bring the wheels in . According to him there aint no extra material on them wheels to machine off.....I ended up going with shorter control arms to solve the offset problem.
