Default FE heads

Has anybody had any experience with the aluminum Edelbrock heads for FE's. I'm building a 390 and I need some advice on which heads to use. The motor has to be streetable, but I want it to breathe too.

We haven't used the motor yet, but Bill Parham of Southern Automotive strongly recommended them and that's what went on our SO. They aren't exactly stock (ported and polished) but the quality is still the same.

Ikestaa-
What's the story? You don't have that thing running yet? You'd better hurry up, the weather's starting to warm up

I have Edlebrock heads on my sideoiler and I like them a lot. I didn't ever run with the iron heads so I don't have a direct comaprison however. I talked to a guy at Ford Carlisle show a few years ago who said changing out the iron heads for Edlebrocks was the best performance for the dollar he ever got.

Thumbs up I have.........

the Edelbrock heads on a 390 and would say they perform very well. Not only do they breath better than the cast iron original heads, but they save you a lot of weight as well.
