Rides and Ribs at the Beach - 2003 Version

Calling all Southern California drivers and everyone else that wants to join us,

It's that time again. We are planning to meet in the parking lot at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA on Saturday May 3 gathering around 11AM. The Beach is just off the 5 freeway at the Dana Point - PCH exit in South Orange County.

Ribs will be provided by Tom Heeney from Heenies Weenies of last year's R&RAB fame.

Post here in the next few weeks so I can give Tom the final count for the catering.

I suggest that you bring your own SOFT drinks as the beach guys don't allow alcohol.

If you need a hotel for an overnight stay, the Dana Point Marriott is just up the hill from the beach and a really great place to stay.

Hi There! The two of us hope to make it there on May 3. Do we need to bring anythung else other than soda? Is it Pot Luck? Or do we just need to bring cash for the ribs, ETC?

We are suggesting that you bring soft drinks as they will be hard to come by, but the beach does have a snack shack. Bring chairs to sit on. And, bring money for the ribs abd BBQ stuff.

We are going to have a great time.

OK we are all ready for this Saturday at Doheny Beach. Folks are planning to arrive around 10 AM with the food coming at 11:30 or so.

The weather forecast does not look promising, so we;ll have to play it by ear for Saturday morning.

Hope to see a lot of cars there.
