NO DRAG RACING AT SUNKEN MEADOW!!!
we are going to the dragstrip on Saturday May 10th at Westhampton Drag Strip. Sunken Meadow is a nature park and we are just going for a cruise. All traffic laws will be obeyed. DYC can feel free to shift like a grandma. Oh yeah. I forgot. He usually does anyway!

I must quote From Raul Julia of Gumball Rally fame" You make jokes on my (Grand) mother .JOkes you make. I am going to mark you with the Gumball curse.
Ok a very loose quote.I studied under the Minster of Information in Iraq . I think he said all was well at the airport as our tanks pulled up behind him.

...got that right! They take no prisoners.
Want me to mark the Radar Trap areas with orange cones in the a.m.?
Northbound- on the median, between Jericho Turnpike and Pulaski Road. (Crown Vic)
Southbound- up and away on right berm between Northern State and L. I. E. ( The Camaro).
...I might be down Snake Pit way in the afternoon.

Danny,
Do you actually think any of us would break the law by speeding over the posted speed limit? Or by spinning our tires or driving fast side by side.

Guys,
I won't be making the April run because it's my off week. May 10 is another off week for me unless I do a switch before then. It will also depend on whether my Accusump is installed. I will be with you in spirit on the 26th. John

I am sorry to hear that John. You will have to have two dozen bananas delivered to both events in your absence.
Are you sure that you are skipping because its an "off-weekend" or are you afraid of me smoking you in my Avalanche with the trailer still attached?

We are crossing our fingers for Saturday. I have just received confirmation of a special guest from the SPF factory for Saturday. He will be driving a 392 powered Indigo Blue/Titanium SPF for the ride. He just might offer a few words about the latest developments at the company and maybe just possibly the GT COUPE!
hope to see you there.

John...Please change your dates ???
Get the Accusump and tear Dan a new one !!
That Avalanche is not THAT fast !!!
How dare he talk at a worked stroker tha way !
BTW...Watch out for Compy. There is a photo floating
around where flames are shooting out from his pipes.
Yes....He barks but his bite may be bigger than imagined !
Green Hornet reports seats are coming out. He may even rip the stuffing from the driver's cushion ! Does anyone have insurance with Angelo ??

weather looks iffy for us. I will wait to order the food. Stay posted to this thread for updates. Worse thing that happens is we skip the cruise, get some food delivery, watch race videos, and hang out with our special guest.

Dan,
I don't think I will have any problem or get wet in the Mk IIB.
You can always follow me in the Red GT40 Replica

Why dont you just take the motorhome? You have a better chance at that then the GT and I am sure you can beat DYC in it!

Hey all you Long Islanders up yonder. Don't know much about LI, only that my company used to have an office in Happauge (sp?), and I had to drive there once from Philly. Yikes!! What a ride. The office has now moved a little further west, but I don't remember the exact location.
Anyway, I couldn't find a seperate Long Island Cobra Club website, so I'll post here.
If you want a nice cruise, come on down to Valley Forge, Pa. on Saturday, June 7th and join us in the first annual Cobra Revolution. Details and registration forms are at www.legendarycobra.com
It's a pretty simple affair, cookout food, cruise route available, historic and scenic location. We are raffling off a Franklin Mint Cobra and selling mugs. Iknow several north Jersey people will be there, hope some New Yorkers can make it too.
Hope to see you there.
Steve

Cool. Keep me posted. I look forward to having your group come down.
I can't imagine driving a Cobra on the L.I.E.. When I was on it last summer, between the construction and traffic, it drove me nuts.
One of these days, I'll get to the Glen, as is the Club Cranky mantra. This year, I'm confined to Pocono and hopefully, maybe Summit Point. Plus the autox events I run.
