I'm going to see your car tomorrow! Do you want me to carve your initials in it or anything so no one will deface it thinking it might belong to Jamo? What kind and size of tires did you decide on? OH! I promise not to drool. Well, not much. But I might hide some cheese do you can say it goes like stink!

John, I went with the Yokohama Avid ST. There is not much choice when it comes to 15" street tires. Feel free to stay in Provo for a few days and practice Scotchbriting on my car. Good idea about differentiating my car from Jamo's. Just paint "JAMO" on the side of Jamo's car in 2' tall red letters.

PS-
Jamo - your car has absolutley killer looks- and a GOOD sound too!
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did while we built it. (that means more than you will ever know - at least for a poor college student like me!)

Horse: I hope you are not eating take-out in Jamo's car! I'll bet he wants to be the first one to spill the Taco Bell sauce out of a burrito in the car!

He is already on a cruise. Thursday 9:30 PM, he is already in Bakersfield and cooking.
He should be at Kirkham's doorsteps tomorrow.

He must not want that car bad. At 9:00 Am this morning, instead of being on the road towards Provo, he is still sleeping. I wonder what he was up to last night that makes it necessary to sleep late in the morning.
TURK.
I hope his wife is not reading all this. I also hope he didn't hook up with the same ladies from last trip. You would think after they stole his wallet and watch he would have learned his lessons....

I talked with the Shepherd a few hours ago and he was munching on chocolate covered donuts trying to sooth his raw lips from chewing the nicorette gum. I heard some giggling in the background but the cell connection was poor as he was exiting the foothills into Las Vegas. Nothing quite like talking with a guy that's anxious about getting his cobra, someone that's quit smoking and a guy that knows he can't use the valet parking with his 20' trailer at the Bellagio!

Roll into Provo at 6:00 p.m. PST and they are closed. What kind of dealership is this?
Davey didn't tell me it's BYU's graduation weekend--finally found a room after four tries--a SMOKING room! When I smoked, I couldn't find one.
Horse--it seems to me every car you guys do is a labor of love.

It is 8:30 AM, Saturday....
My bet is, you are sitting in front of Kirkham's with your trailer, Cup of coffee, and a pack of cigarettes, waiting for the joint to open up.
If they don't show up in the next 15 minutes, call a locksmith and open the place up.
Can you look through the office window, and see your car?
Go ahead...The "ALARM" signs they have all over the place are all bogus. They have none.
If David, Steve,or Tom are not there in the next 10 minutes, call their parents...
They are probably sleeping late. You know how those Mormons are! They probably partied hard all night long last night!
TURK
KIRKHAMS!
Give him his car man, and get him out of your hair. He is now our problem, when he gets back.

Just spoke to our manic hero en route from Provo to Fresno. All is well and he is appropriately ecstatic. Seems the Kirkham/Shelby is scary fast and he is now a BB fan. Can't wait till he is able to post cuz he has a great Turk story to share!!
Cheers, Pete C

Spoke with Jamo a little while ago and the trip was progressing well. He is naturally pumped about the new Cobra and especially its big block power! (Expedition tow truck needs a little more power though.)

...just hung up after a nice long chat with our "traveller"...
..talked him across the desert and into Las Vegas; just stopped at the city limits for gas.
Seems the shakedown cruise in Provo included some 40 mph 'attack' runs at parking lot speed bumps. ... they don't do that in a Road & Track test.
We both laughed when I pointed out that all of us talking to him at various stages of his trip was like a 2003-version of "Vanishing Point"... but instead of hitting bulldozers, he'll hit Fresno.
Maybe a quick pit stop at the state line and then the last leg after dawn.
The car came out great; we should see pictures tomorrow.
