So - I take the trouble to wait up until the wee small hours, and 'phone Jamo from here in the UK.
What do I get??? (apart from an interesting 'phone bill)
I'll tell you what I got - I got called "TURK", and then told that all us foreigners sound alike!
I think Jamo is cracking - is this a known symptom of "alumo-fever"???

Jamo must have caught it from a "Carrier"

This is way too funny.
Jamo needs a new tow vehicle. Sounds like an Escalade EXT is in order. Hey Turk you know anyone that could help ole Jamer out?
I think I will buy some more Scotchbrite stock on Monday. I think there market share is about to increase dramatically.

The meatballs are supposed to go on the car's hood, not the car's seats.

Drool away
Visited Kirkham's on Friday, can't begin to tell you how courteous these guys are. They entertained my whole family for a good 2 hours. I was so busy talking (drooling) that I only took 3 pictures. Here's Jamo's car sitting outside.

Truth be known, Little Davey Kirkham is crazy. See this freeking mountain? It's called Squaw's Peak. Probably 9,000 feet above Provo. There's a curvy, potholed, non-guardrailed two-lane that goes to the top. You go up the canyon to Sundance to find this roller coaster.
This is where Davey took me and my car for a shakedown. I'm looking over the side--straight down at provo while this sucker's ringing my new car out. I uttered words that should not be uttered in the land of Brigham Young. They probably heard me screaming at the BYU campus just below.

Da motor. Sweet running thing. David, who has a dynoed 525hp FE swears this things putting out a bunch more. Very smooth--loves to be taken down to about 1500 rpm in forth and taken right back up again with no hiccups. Lumpy cam. Tons of torque--no need to press her. With the lighter weight, the car can be turned with one hand at crawling speeds.

Saw these two "things". Simpson showed you one of them--that's Southernfrieddipsh!t's on top, and Toy Collector's below...
I wrote something sweet on the inside rear fenders on both of them. Not quite a CS signature, but a "Jamo was here" is a keepsake!

I've already got 111 miles on the odometer--the first 50 or so by Davey. She's got bugs on the windshield and all over the front. She's a dirty little thing already.
As always--going to Kirkham Motorsports is like going home. Momma Mary came over and got a hug. Tom Sr. was tracking down a broken water main and was not happy--so I just flat stayed out of his way. Tom was on his way back from Poland. Steve was having fun quizzing me on Armenian history {Steve--Armenia became the first Christian nation when our King was baptized in the early 300s}, and Jeff is still exploring Iraq (funny stories, but classified ). David was just having fun as he always does.
Over lunch--BBQ steaks, shrimp and crab legs--good conversation with the guys who do the work--hard working and friendly. Asked them where they took their missionary assignments, and realized they had been all over the world. They love what they do as much as the Kirkhams.
When you go to Provo--the car is free. The time you spend with the First Family of Cobras is worth every cent.

Jamo,
Speaking of messages, did you find the note I left behind your MSD ignition box?
Congrats my friend, your car looks great. We need to get together for a run through the hills very soon.

Which reminds me you little uniformed a$$hole!
They told me there's something there for me from you, but they won't tell me what. What makes you think I can fit my a$$ in there so that I can LOOK UP UNDER THE DAM* DASH???? I'm getting a mirror to look for it tomorrow.
Thanks buddy--as soon as I get a temp and some insurance--I'm heading north. We can go visit Turk and Pat and watch them work.

The car looks great and I know dave can scare the boogers outta ya - but hey - isnt that the purpose of the car?
as sorry as I am that I missed you jamo - I REALLY am sad I missed the BBQ! Dave drives a mean cobra and makes a mean steak! (but this crab leg thing- man thats just weird!)

Yup--they said you were in the middle of all that when I asked about you...
It's the flatwear for the BBQ that's unique--razor blades for the steaks, and little needle nose pliers for the crab legs.
