Lucas parts list for Cobras
Ok, I know there are British car nuts among us, and some of you have helped me previously. I am looking for copies of Lucas parts lists for AC Cars. Does anyone have Lucas master parts lists for 1962-1968? Does anyone know how or where I can get a Lucas master cross reference catalog to find the current and prior parts numbers for original Cobra parts? I will give credit to you in the book Tom Cotter and I are working on about original Cobras. Thanks!

Why don't you go over to the UK Cobra Club forum and ask over there?

LUCAS, the princely parts
Jim,
I've got the LUCAS period catalogues. Are you looking for ALL the LUCAS parts that fit the COBRA260/289/427/428 cars, if so I'll try to find and combine a few old lists I have in handwritten notes of the day.
It will take a few days, however. For instance the OEM boxes I have note the tailight item assembly as a 53XXX number not the current L-467 that you see today. I really do not know if the new Lucas system is cross referenced with their current stocking method, since they are on computer and use a very different system today. The old method used the part number in total for locating, storing, shipping, and costing. It would have been a night mare to have in the late 80's/early 90's to have switched their old inventory over to their new method of filing.

[maybe weeks with my filing system! the notes are for specific cars]

Grumpy, Thanks very much for the offer. I would greatly appreciate any and all numbers, etc. you can dig out. I know how that is. I have been trying to dig through my own stuff and it does take awhile. I am looking for data on all Cobra models, 260 through 427/428. Don't worry about cross-references. I am trying to get my hands on a cross reference catalog, which I know exists, but I haven't found.
Roscoe, thanks for the suggestion. I will post a request on that site. Jim

Lucas/COBRA351
Jim,
I've handed off to Brent the 5 pages that we used early on in our restos/cars that is the same numbers of the LUCAS electrical items in a 64-66 CSX AC Chassied COBRA. Have very little in actual parts for the 260/early289 cars that is firm.
Pardon the lack of computers skills, word processing is about all I know and Christine in my office has scanned about a hundred pages of the early manual that I've gone thru just to archive, the papers getting brittle, still a bit to go.

Grumpy.....
Do you have the new part number for
the DB10 light relay ????
The big silver box on the firewall, drivers side.
I did not see it listed on the sheet.
Thanks,
Bill Cook
