Here is a guy who had difficulty dealing with a bungee freefall. Do you think this is what Evan will do if FFR buys SAI?
|
And what if it's NOT true?
|
I find the whole thing VERY hard to believe.
|
It's 10:00a.m.(PST) and "SAI Inc." is logged on. Hisss has said it's not true at the SAI Forum. Don't know who "Hisss" is, but I've been watching this thing wondering how far folks would go on this thread.

Boy. The FFR groupies can only hope!
Finally, a chance to own a Shelby or something close! Boy the FFR groupes are going nuts over the prospect and its only a rumor. Kinda exposes what the FFR boys would rather have.   Hysterical. Just hysterical.         |
Aw come on Jamo, . . . . . . Now you've gone and done it. You really put the pin in the party hog now boy!
 Ed |
As some of you know I personally do not camp in this thread nor any other. Don't know when you find the time.
---- Got an e-mail at home from a customer and got a call today from a dealer on this subject. ---- Some one is having a great time with this one. ---- I was told that "since SAI was not responding that it must be true" which means I guess a person, a group or a company has to stand guard and worry about what some one else wants to say good or bad. Who has that kind of wasteful time? --- FFR and Shelby American are not now and per Carroll will never be in business together. Hope to see some of you at the Spring Fling and enjoy automobiles and freedoms we still have. Bob Marsh |
Whew,,,,Thanks Bob for putting that rumor to bed!
Ernie |
Oh great!
So NOW what are we all supposed to do to have some fun around here????
**) Ed |
Well. there you have it boys.
To all the FFR groupies. I am truly sorry. Your FFR will just have to remain a FFR. No CSX vin # for you. Of course you FFR guys can still put those Cobra badges on and the fake SAI vin plates and pretend its a Shelby Cobra.        This is tooooooo goood.    |
Hey Bobby
See ya at the Fling buddy. Guess someone told these folks that the Constitution includes the freedom to wag one's tongue. |
Dior,
My simple reply: I'm an idiot! I was responding to the H-D comparo in general and was noting that we were comparing the wrong H-D take over. My "Attorney" reference was meant as a joke; but, I left out the smilies...I am the "Village Idiot" on this one. Also, the "just call'em idiots" was a response in general to all statements about CSX's becoming FFR's: The only thing in this deal that would make sense is to make SAI more effecient (Mfg, Mngmt and Admin.) and improve the existing marketing model. I thought a lot of folks were off their rockers, kidding or not, to miss that one. I failed to clarify to whom I was responding...again, the village idiot thing. As for Curt Scott: You need to see the other post from last nite, that I also shouldn't have made-tired mind and late nite stupidity, where I came down on Evan like a complete A$$. Evan and Dior, I'm usually an A$$ of a different sort. I appologize for my lapse af clarity, smarts and manners. I normally have my tongue firmly planted in my cheek...Guess it was my turn to be in the barrel. Again, I appologize and I'll just go to bed next time (Just got home from 2-days of moto-exhausted-at the time) and log on with my brain engaged in the morning. EmbarrASSed, Manny:( |
Crap.... I guess I will have to go to bed tonite with that "just an FFR" in the garage..
It was kinda fun tho.... |
This is not a rumor
Bob,
Say it isn't true, if FFR is not buying Shelby then my second joice for new ownership would be JAMO [Assolutely THE Big Gashole]  Dan Bob Marsh once you retire you will find a little more time to post and enjoy life a little more. Soon very Sooooooon |

Cheers Jim |
Lets see:
Unfounded rumor + speculation - confirmation = long rambling thread about pedigrees |
Jim: My understanding is that Venture filed Chpt 11. Reorganization. Not liquidation (Chpt 7). Further, I also understand that SAI is owned by the Venture family outright and outside of Venture Inc. This is my understanding. May NOT be FACTUAL.
Mr. Fixit: Amazing, ain't it. ;) |

Thanks for the laugh. I think it's too funny how you as someone that has purchased a Real Fake Snake, as oppose to someone like me who's built/building a Fake Fake Snake, is so superficial as too need to suggest that we the "FFR groupes" are going nuts over the prospect of FFR buying SAI. Most of us think it's an utterly obsurd suggestion as there's absolutely no finacial basis for something like this to even occur. Have some fun driving your Real Fake Snake that you had produced. I know I'll have fun driving my Fake Fake Snake that I built. TAZ |
"I think FFR has shown as least some of us that they know the replica market! This would be a 'hand in glove' situation as opposed to a 'bowling ball in a diaper'! "
"Hand in Glove........Bowling ball in a diaper" the mental imagery is astounding.....I LIKE IT......Dior always could turn a phrase! JAY |
