Did you guys see this new kit at Carlisle:
www.renegaderoadster.com
It going to be a very trick car. Indy style front suspension, with inboard coil-overs.
IRS, 4-wheel disc...

Not much in pictures at the site yet. Are you affiliated with the company? When will it have actual pictures of the chassis and suspension that can be seen on the site? Was there a completed car at Carlisle? Looks like it could be interesting.

Hi Folks,
Site is owned by Tri-State Motorsports.
I do take a bit of exception to the statement on the home page.
Quote: No one has taken a pure bred race proven chassis, put a roadster body on it, and added the best components available. So I decided to be the first, sort of like a Renegade.
I recommend that some basic research be done into other cars out there, before this sort of blanket statement is made.
However, the 3D drawing showing pushrod type front suspension is interesting. I am assuming that this is being done for motion ratio and unsprung weight reasons.

From the site, it doesn't look like they have even built a car, let alone sorted out their "race proven chassis." Wonder if they will keep the classic 90" wheelbase and then still talk about the merits of their design. Most replicas work around the original dimensions to create better handling. JBL has gone that further step. And JBL has a right to feel slighted.
I think if they are serious and can actually produce cars, they will be compared to the JBL's. It won't be easy for them.
