I'd like any of you to have the cojones to tell Evan to his face mano y mano what you say or infer to him here---he happens to love his car--a better ride than most of us have and bfd if he is proud of it and it's heritage--he has one you don't
So you have to denigrate him personally--you guys sound like a bunch of grade school children making fun of someone you dont even know--isn't technology great
hide behind the screen
I know Evan doesn't need anyone to speak for him, but I'm sick of the crap he gets---

Come on Gary,
Youve been around this board as long as I have, and you know "cheap shots" are often the "order of the day"
Evan garners more than his share , but he invites it and I dare say he enjoys most of it,....most of his beatings are given with the same club he would use on others.
There is nothing I would put in print here to any man , I would'nt say to his face. I figure I'm going to meet many on this board and I keep that in mind when I post.
Dont forget this is mostly good fun, one of the beauties of this forum is..If you blow it ...you will probably get lit up.......and I've noticed most of the guys here have a bad day now and then..but their freinds are still there tomorrow...
your freind ,
Karl

KK
Yeah you may be right--I've just had a enough of Cobra bashing--some from those that don't even own one no matter the make-- and especially SAI---
Personally I like them all, some better than others, but I do take issue when someone starts to denigrate another because of his choice and love of his car
Gary
Don't see a lot of personal attacks on FFR owners

I would (SHOULD) be the last one giving advice in the forums what is ok and what is not, but.......
I'll try anyway.
NO PERSONAL ATTACKS.-NO NAME CALLING!!
Evan argues things to death, but I have to give it to him, he does so without resorting to name calling. Let's keep it at that level.
It takes a little more thought and few more look-ups in the dictionary to say something cute and clever and still have a punch to what you said. Then there is the easy way out.
"Dick"
"Ass"
"Prick"
maybe witty writing, but not very good reading.

HEY SSS, NICE AVATAR!
Looks like you have a Minolta, too! Personally, I would have cropped the photo differently!

I like this better. Of course, it would be nicer with "Photo by STG" under it.
Turk,
Is avatar bashing O.K?

Hey guys, We are suppose to be on the same Cobra Club team.No matter what make, Cobras all look the same sitting at a car show, or driving them down the street. They are all fast and fun. Instead of bashing eachother, why don't we bash the Corvette guys?

I wish to thank our ever level headed moderators for their efforts at keeping things civil.
Ozona: Insult noted. Thats #32. Feel better? Doesn't change the factual REALity though.
Gary: Thank you. Well said. You and many others here are great guys and gentlemen and know that all this is is just talk and debate about cars. I love all these cars regardless of manufacturer and truly respect the guys who have the talent and the ability to build many of the great cars I have seen. I sure couldn't do it. All thats being disucssed here are cars Nothing more important than that. People can have honest differences and can see things differently. Nothing I say is intended to knock anyone or any car. I just am discussing the facts as the apply to the CSX. Why does this offend people????
Children usually resort to name calling when frustrated because they can't express themselves in a coherent manner with logic and facts. Immature behavior at best.
I know or most times can figure out when name calling is in jest and just looking to bust my chops. Thats fine. Hell, I expect it here. I figure that a day without busting my chops for you guys is like a day without sunshine.
Kobrakarl: There is a difference when you say an insult to someones face. I've been called choice words before to my face in two scenarios:
1. Someone looking to genuinely insult you to your face in turn seeking new dental work and a nose job
2. Joking around as in locker room talk, bench racing talk etc.. You can usually tell which scenario you are in.
The first scenario is not good and can lead to pain. The second scenario can be entertaining and fun and smiles all around.
Usually what goes on here is the second scenario. I think.
I think Ozona would squarely fit in the first category.
As to the "little prick" thing. Don't you guys know its the motion in the ocean and not the size of the ship. Turk told me thats his secret! How else do you think he would've acquired the status of official love God

Name calling
When my children were little and I caught them calling each other names, I would yell at them; . . . . HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU IDIOTS NOT TO CALL EACH OTHER NAMES!

Evan ,
If it comes from me, it would be second scenario...I'm here for the fun of it.
If I ever needed to insult you personally, it would be private, nothing is as chicken sh!t as computor "woofers"
If you didnt have a sick sense of humour ,I doubt you would still be here.

Dan,
Enjoyed your post. Rodney King couldn't have said it better.
Personally, I have had several opportunities over the years to buy an original Cobra at a reasonable price. I passed them up. My dream was to build my own car. I have no regrets or aluminum envy.

STG, I'll change it all the same. This time I'll borrow from someone who already has a lot of my money.

hey, I have an idea...
why don't you guys run a FFR car against a CSX car head on, at , say 80MPH and see which one is better?
let's be scientific about this.....
