She just cranked!!!!! It was the wire from the solenoid to the starter. Just put a new one on that I had around and it cranked!!! Now lets see if it starts! cb

The final analysis: It was the "perfect storm" series of causes: Weak/dead/old battery, BAD charger that showed the battery had a full charge and a suspect cable from the solenoid to the starter.

Should have tested the battery, but charger showed it fully charged. Really suspected a dead ground in the wiring from the battery to the starter, as everyone suggested. When I could kick the starter by touching a jumoer ffm the pos of the bat directly to the starter motor, I started working backward from the starter. Also hooked up the old solenoid again.

Thank you all! cb

Not going to Keshaw this time but may do the Atlanta Motor Speedway CARZ event comming up. Plan to do the Alabama ShelbyAuto Club lapping 8/9 at the Talledega Gran Prix Track (lttle Taledega) at the Oxford-Anniston exit. Good tight track. Atlanta Historics in Sept: come on up! Like to stay close to home: cheaper, and we now have s many tracks close! Chip (aka "chris")
