Thanks to all who made the 1st Annual Cobra Revolution a HUGE success!! Pics here!
My wife, Kara, and I would really like to thank everyone who came out yesterday to the 1st Annual Cobra Revolution!! Despite having to delay it one day due to bad weather and even having a slightly damp start, the turnout was tremendous. I did not get a chance to count the final number of Cobras that showed up, but I know at one point, there were 35 or 36 on the lot and a few had come and gone. So I think it was about 37 or 38 Cobras and probably about 80 people total.
We had a wonderful time at the event and can't thank everyone enough for coming out and making it what it was. Seeing all the different cars and getting to put a face to so many names was great.
I do need to thank a lot of people for putting in so much help. My wife, who I now owe huge favors to!! She really helped more than I can say. I could go on and on, but don't want to turn it into a speech, so let me just say special thanks to Bob Marshall, Rob and Kathy Simoes, Mike (those name tags were awesome!), and everyone on the organizing group who met on that cold, cold day in January.
A lot of people drove a long way to join us, and I really appreciate it. Many came from the DC area and North Jersey, which I know made for a long day. Thanks so much for coming.
Thanks to some strong mug sales, it even looks like we will be able to donate a few hundred dollars to charity (my wife and I still have to do the final tally).
Here are some more photos....I hope. Does anyone know how to turn these from a link to actual photos? (sorry, the yellow/black one with the flags is mine, I couldn't resist)

Anyone else who had some great shots, please place them here.
Rob Simoes also got some great photos. They are on www.legendarycobra.com (follow link to Cobra Revolution 2003)
It was a really great time, thank you so, so much to everyone who came, and I can't wait to do it again next year.
Steve and Kara (Mrs. Klayfish) Klayman
P.S. We still have beautiful Cobra Revolution mugs for sale (anyone have a photo they can post). They are $5 each and that money will go directly to charity. The charity we chose is to benefit family members of service men/women who were killed in the war.

Thank you!!!
I would just like to thank everyone involved in organizing this event. It was wonderful!!!
I really enjoyed getting to meet so many wonderful people and put faces to names that I have been in correspondence with.
After such an event, I'm going to have a really hard time waiting until August for my Cobra to arrive. Of course, with all of the beautiful cars at the event, I'm still having a hard time reconciling my color choice...I'll take one of each
As soon as I download the few pics that I have, I will return and post them.
Looking forward to more events and cruises....
P.S.: If you need any help with future events, let me know.

We had a great time, Jamo. I was thrilled that so many people came out, even with the overcast skies. Now I've made some more new friends that I look forward to seeing at the Fling. This was a warm up to get ready. The one thing we found was that my wife and I made over 250 cookies for our event, and with 80 people there, they almost all disappeared. So, we'll make at least that many for the Fling!

YeeHah!
Steve, got any hair left on your arms? You spent so much time on that grill we weren't sure you had a chance to see what you created!
Awesome job, Klayfish - all credit to you and your crew. You even managed to stall the rain long enough for all to cruise in the dry. Thanks so much for everything - it was great, and if you're up to it, we WILL be there for all subsequent Revolutions!

THANKS for the great time. Steve, you and your wife and all your helpers did a great job even if the weather was cloudy. At least it didn't rain. My wife and I talked to alot of new people and visited with some old friends. Having 40 Cobras at one given spot at one time was just great for a first time cruise. Hope you can get this type of get together again for next year , and maybe there will be more Cobras.
Again thanks for the great time.

No worries there, I got more than enough hair, so burning some off is a good thing!! The wife thinks I'm as furry as the cat.
The funny thing is that I didn't realize how much time I was at the grill. I LOVE to cook, especially grill. And since this weather has been so poor, I haven't gotten to do much of it this year. So once I got started, I was just "in the zone". I was having a blast. Bob Marshall offered to relieve me a few times, but I was having fun. Besides, once the initial rush died down, I did get to go up to the parking lot and hang around for a few hours. It was an awesome site to see so many Cobras in one spot. It seems everyone really enjoyed the event. I know my wife and I really did. We're still talking about it. I can't believe it came and went.
I'm glad the rain held off. Hell, if it was warmer and sunnier, I bet we'd have had over 40 Cobras.
There absolutely will be another event next year. We'll start planning our location, date, etc.. in the winter. We may have to leave Valley Forge, because they were restrictive and we reched max capacity in our first year, but we'll find a bigger and better place if need be.
Thanks again for coming and look forward to meeting up with you again soon.
Steve
