Under the Car Exhaust
Who out there is running with under the car exhaust? I've looked at a number of Cobras recently with this setup. Can't really decide if I like the look.
What's everybody think?

Hi Don,
See my gallery - page 2.
I got the setup to prevent "snake bite". It works great - so far
It's still loud.
The pipes/mufflers are 3" all the way. Mufflers from SpinTech, special size due to width requirements. There is a layer of insulation above the mufflers beneath the floor. No heat problems.
It had to be "revised" twice - the mufflers were too wide at first, and the pipes needed a bit of bending and dimpling to prevent frame contact when the engine rocks.
I think it's just what I wanted!
Tom

Jim, I looked at your pictures
You have a smooth looking Cobra. Where is the gas cap?

Hi John,
GAS CAP???
No wonder it stopped running.... I forgot about having to re-fill it!!!
Actually, the fuel cell is in the trunk and the filler neck is inside there too. You're not the first to notice that either.... my wife was the first however
- Jim -
And thanks for the kind remarks.

Don,
I personally think Cobras look great with or without sidepipes, but for a normally street driven car, the undercar exhaust is easier to live with.

I have the undercar exhaust.
No mufflers, just straight pipes right out the back.
My problem is it's not loud enough so I'm installing sidepipes without mufflers.
My goal is to be SO loud that it causes pedestrians to spontaneously vomit on their shoes and/or crap their pants (both would be best)
I'm talking anarchy on 4 wheels folks. The four horsemen of the apocalypse drivin' a cobra!
Ears bleeding, glass breaking, women screaming, people crapping!
The horror..........the horror.................

My first sidepipes were really loud. I used to get headaches from the noise. Then I'd get hoarse from yelling at my passengers. So, I got the stainless steel specialities mufflers and it's much better now. I still have to have the TV louder than most people like, though. Be careful with your hearing, it's hard to fix!
