Default Rivets

Does anyone have pictures of hood rivets on an S/C or comp car tat have been painted over? I have seen a lot of shiny rivets, but it seems that the original cars would probably have had them put in prior to painting and that they would have been painted over.

Thanks,

Lew

Rivets on the S/C were an after thought after paint.

I asked my builder the same question, and he said the originals had unpainted rivets.

I vote for unpainted.

If the cars were painted after the hood scoop had been fitted they would have needed to fill the join between hood and scoop or alternatively have a very messy paint finish.

Mine, and other AC's that were built to even more original specifications, has unpainted rivets.
