What Happened to Turk's Cobra
I think I missed something
Turk, no Cobra
Turk in 930 Porsche It almost sounds like a Semko car.
Was this a bet that Turk lost to Dan
Will someone please bring those of us who couldn't make the "Fling" up to date. I am assuming that this transaction is Fling related, as the last post I saw had Turk's Shelby going on the transporter last and heading to Ohio.
TL
Turk,
BTW, I remember you were looking for a Ford pickup.
I've got a "cherry" '31 Ford streetrod roadster p/u with a 350 Chevy in it. And it is looking for a new home.
Could be right down your alley.

Confused
I to am a bit confused on this whole 930 thing.
Jamo, did you get your car back on the dyno after you discovered the problem? I was looking forward to some REALLY big numbers from you!

Dan and Turk simply did a trade. Dan gets Turk's completed CSX, and Turk gets the 930 and Dan's incomplete CSX. Neither could afford to move up to a Kirkham.
Car was fine. One guy had a dyno run from last year that was 150hp over what this dyno showed/same motor and no intervening problems--had the paper with him. Another one had a similiar inconsistency. I don't know, but no sense throwing money away on something I wasn't interested in but was talked into.

Interesting Jamo, I hadn't heard about inconsistancies, but was expecting more horse out of my pulls......

Actually Jack, I thought you'd have more too, as well as Wade. I don't know jack (had to ), but do they adjust those things for slippage or wear? In any event, it's cool to have the thing there.
Course, maybe that guy screwed you because you were sweet talking him.

Hey, he WAS sweet! Jack was right to be pissed. Same thing happened last year while folks waited in the heat. How'd you like to take a number at the ice cream parlour and then have a busload of kids move in line ahead of you?
All's well that ends well...
