Default North vs. South Cobra showdown at the Mason-Dixon Line in Sept. Will you be there?

Everyone knows how competitive most Cobra owners are. How about a little contest between Cobra owners? Who can make the best showing?

Plans are now in the works for the Blue vs. Grey Cobra Day, to be held this September somewhere along the Mason-Dixon Line. Mike, can you please post that picture of where the line runs?

Basically, it will be somewhere along the border of MD/PA/DE.

It will be a competition to see who can have more Cobras show up. The north or the south. I think a little trash talking and some wagers are in order. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

It will be a cookout with activities and games for the north vs. the south. How about a Cobra tug-of-war? Hook up the biggest big block Cobras with a REAL strong rope and let 'em go!! OK, perhaps not, but a tug or war between drivers?? Maybe a nice cruise route too. Those from the south will wear grey, the north will wear blue.

The proposed dates are Sat. Sept. 13th or Sat. Sept. 20th (with a rain date of the 14th or 21st).

Before the plans get any further, I'd like to get some idea of how many people think they can attend. Again, the location is to be at the Mason-Dixon line (north MD, south PA, north Delaware). So, how competitive are you??? Are you in, or will you let the other side whip your butt?

Steve

Sounds great to me!

I would really enjoy seeing and talking to some of "The Good Old Boys" from Virginia that were at the Revolution in Vally Forge again.
Hey, by September they should be more than willing to come up north to our nice cool fall tempertures.

Steve.... this is no contest..... if just half of the CACC group showed up we would be king of the hill...... and to think, most southerners think Maryland belongs to the north!

Don't forget to post over on our web page. Sounds like fun

Jim,
I'll definitely post on CACC. I figure it's going to be almost in your backyard. We're going to have to do something about you guys. You're such a large and well organized group that if we don't get some kind or organized resistance, we'll be overwhelmed. Well, it is a "civil war" theme, so maybe we'll pit CACC members against each other.

Sorry. The south can't make it. We are too busy being politically correct and designing and voting on our new state flags, as well as selling our property to all the incumbant yankees

I thought the South ended at the Florida state line to the south and the Tennesee state line to the north? D@mn, there's a lot less Yankees than I thought! How the he!! did we get our arses kicked?
My wife is a Yankee(Florida, drinks tea with no sugar), so ya'll don't take offense.
As far as a Cobra competition, I can't drive so the track is out, and I'm to lazy to wax so the show is out. How about we all go to Maui and see Big Ern? We can rent some 6cyl Mustangs and Baja the backside of the Hana Highway. Now that would be fun! Count me in(and I'd bet that all the S.O.'s would love to go)!

Alright, I attended a local cruise night with a bunch of friends last night. I recruited about 8 Cobra for the North. Seems like we're off and running. They had a lot to say about the south...

It's looking like it will be Sept. 20th in Gettysburg. Who else is in?

Take to the top for the Monday morning crowd.

I'm about 99% sure at this point that we will use Sept. 20th as our date. Also probably use Gettysburg for the showdown, but I'm not sure yet. Anyone have ideas on a good location along the Mason-Dixon line? I just though Gettysburg, because it fits the idea and people know of it.

Any thoughts on activities? I'd love to do some kind of driving event, but am pretty gun shy about it. Seems like it's pretty hard to set up, handle liability, etc.... Not sure if it would be a good idea for a first time event. But I'm open to anything. My initial thoughts at the moment are to find a good place for the event, similar to what we used for the Cobra Revolution. A large park with open fields for grilling and games, large parking lot for the cars, public restroooms, etc... Then later in the day, perhaps find a winery or a pub that we can invade and celebrate.

Yes? No? Dumb idea?

Please don't ask Florida to vote, I'm not sure we all can wait-- that long. LOL

Yep. Go get a can of Pep Boys paint and just cover it up real quick.

I'm waiting for the first person to say they are going to show up with a Cobra painted like the General Lee! You know how them Southern folk are, don't ya?
