Hi John. I missed this post the first time around.
Rich Lacey delivered the car on 7.03.03. If you ever need a car shipped, Rich is the man. He is a heck of a nice guy, and he does what he says he will do when he says he will do it.
The car looks great. Believe it or not, I have spent less than 10 minutes with the car since it arrived. I left town after we unloaded it, and I've been busy with the new house. I plan on putting the motor and tranny in in late September, after we have moved.
The file finish on car is kinda trick looking and I'll probably leave it like that for awhile. The Kirkhams have been great to deal with, and I'm looking forward to getting the car on the road.

John,
I'v got mine up and running. I think we have re-defined the meaning of zoom zoom zoom.
Latest upgrades on the suspention from the Kirkham clan. Latest engine crazies from my head. The car is a delight to say the least.
4.6DOHC 500 rear wheel dynoed hp/ 470ish rear wheel dynoed ft/lb's torque. Yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaa caaa waaa bunga dude, to put it mildly.
The engine is . . . . Stock, except rods and pistons and vortex blower and Fast engine management computer and fuel pump & rails and 55 lb fuel injectors. Stock cams! TKO 370:1 rear
We did not have to modify the foot boxes.
You should get off the fence
Chuck

Spent too long on the fence
and now I'm kinda stuck there. Kirkham's are great to work with but they want to sell a more complete car than I want to pay for( what else is new). I want to do the interior aluminum work etc. but they have so much demand for their cars that its just not in the works for right now. I know I do want the FIA body style and I like the 427 style chassis, so I may get out the welder yet and get a replacement body from them in the spirit of Jeff Burgy's car.
John

John, I just spent another 10 minutes with my car. You need to find a Kirkham to see in person. These things are beautiful.

Kirkham's
I've been down there several times ( it's about a 4 hour drive) since October, in fact I saw your car and took those pictures I so artfully defaced, but I didn't sign your car like Jamo did. They are indeed beautiful cars but in my wife's eyes they compete with cruising the Carribean and stuff like that so I have imposed a limit on spending for a Cobra replica that won't interfere with shipboard fun. I'm afraid if I go down again they'll shove a broom in my hands and put me to work just to keep me from drooling on the aluminum work! We'll will just have to see what happens.

Man, there I go again (slurp) gotta stop that. I'm working on a Krispy Kreme Bribe, do you like original, chocolate, lemon filled,... OH NO! more drooling! Some things in life are just too good for your own good. Thanks for the invite, always enjoy my visists to Dreamland (Kirkham's) and I always enjoy talking to you, and the stories your Dad hints at, Hmmmm.

John, I forgot about those pics. I guess it's true about the short term memory loss.
I'm leaving Jamo's note on the car, at least he didn't put a butt print on it!

Got to love that file finish
Leave your car out some night and when the dew settles in the morning the Mark of Jamo will appear!
Hint: It looks just like the Kilroy was here only MUCH larger, It goes well with 'ghost' stripes.

Toy Collector
Your car is not immune! Remember when I wrote step here on the boot lid? You didn't really thing Jamo just 'stepped' up there did you? Hope you don't plan on painting that car, the 'ghostly stain' on your boot lid will be harder to remove than boiled owl sh*t.
