Excellent idea, but having had some experience with this sort of thing I would suggest you have a limited number of folks involved in the creation and selection process - if you've heard the expression, "too many cooks in the kitchen" you will understand where I'm coming from.

I look forward to seeing the finish product!

Clois,

I just did a quick grab & crop of the CC logo. I think someone with graphics experience and/or the original art for the logo could do a better job than I. Maybe Gear88???? If not, I do have a contact in the graphics world, but would it have to be pro bono?

My vote would be the graphic I presented - it's understandable to someone not familiar with CC and recognizable to someone who is, and can be fit into something not too obtrusive on the windshield, but still be noticeable. I like the look of the CC, but it is too vague for me.

I think another vote for a particular graphic would be the right way to do it - then we wouldn't have to sift through posts. Just put the three (or if there are any others) up on the header and let people pick one, checkbox style.

Default sticker ideas

i will have the powered by 302, 351, 427 stickers up on my website real soon but as for the powered by club cobra, well i need permission first... so take a look and let me know what you guys think. the only bad part: my stickers only come 3"x5" and this sticker in about 2"x5" so the top and the bottom would have to be trimmed to make the sticker "look" like the original badge.

as far as making a sticker out of the club cobra web banner. sure i can do that if brent or who ever has the original art and has permission to reproduce it, 'll make em. 3"x5" or 10"x3"

Brad: I think they ALL look great! I see no problem with trimming the Club Cobra stickers, but you know SOMEONE will complain. They ALWAYS do! lol !

Default Vote when we get to 10 different designs?

Hey Members, Let's take a checkpoint real quick. This seems to be rolling along fairly well so far... Definitely a nice response by some talented, motivated, and interested people out there...

This might turn out to be a worthy "grass roots" effort by all involved that will possibly produce a design/club sticker that we could all be part of. Pretty cool eh'? Simple pleasures with Cobras! So far, there are at least (4) reasonable designs submitted so far... And, thanks to all of you who contributed so far. I expect a latecomer will pop up with yet another slick design. We'll see...

Question/Proposal:
What do you say?... After 10 acceptable designs are submitted, we will start a 30-day vote, and unveil the new Club Cobra windshied sticker design - with Brent's review and approval first, of course. Yes?

Default Sticker

What about something real easy and simple like:

C L U B C O B R A . COM

That is somewhere around 1 1/2 tall or bigger that would fit at the top and centered on the windshild. Font and font style would obviously be different than what I have here, probably white in color.

I think it is important that the .com be included with anything so it identifies that we are all here at this geat meeting site.

Just goofin' around here...

Any ideas on a good wheel design logo maybe? The old school Hot-Wheels logo made me think of this one. So far it seems like people like circles or ovals more than other shapes.

Duane,

The round designs are nice and that wheel looks good. But is there a way to work a Cobra Car into one that wouldn't look bad ? Do you have any idea how long you are going to wait to put the different designs to a vote ? I would definately want at least a couple.

Ron

Default Til 10 designs are submitted

Hi Ron,
cc: All Members,
I was thinking about waiting til 10 designs are submitted. Do you see one that you like, that really stands out so far? If you feel confident that we are ready to take a vote soon, than I would certainly not be opposed to starting it. Let me know.

Remember - this is a "windows sticker" to put on your Cobra, so that's why some just seem to want a symbol vs. a picture of something like a wheel or a complete car... It's possible we might need two. One for your car, and one for other purposes - not on the car.

Right now we have (6) submitted, not recounting the same ones resized or resubmitted with revision. Let see if we can get at least (3-4) more to start a vote, or I'll start a vote by default on July 21, after the weekend.

Members,
if you have any others, please submit them. Thanks!

Question

Duane,

When you have all the designs and are ready for a vote would it be possible to put them all in a post or area where we can see them all together and not have to go through all the pages of this post ? That would also make it easier to compare them as they would be together.

Sorry guys, just logged into this thread for the first time today. I threw this together on my wife's computer as a quick idea. If you don't choose a design in the next couple of days, I will compose a few other samples including some simpler line drawing types for your perusal. Pauline is flying out to Canada tomorrow and the local carnival starts this weekend so I won't get to the office until tuesday.
