Default Insurance

If you are looking for insurance, try your local State Farm Agent.
You can find a local agent on the internet via State Farm's web page. Depending on agreed value, your premium could be under $400 per year! Check it out!

I think the key with State Farm is the description.

If your car is titled as a replica: ie, 1966 427SC cobra replica.

Then there is no problem.

Ask for a Antique and Classic policy; thats what I have. Inexpensive, no milage limit, etc

Default Insurance

I have given my agent all my replica info but they still will not insure the car, so I think I need a different agent in florida or proof that state farm does insure the car.

My Cobra is due in about 2 weeks and from the quotes I've received from several insurance companies on an agreed value of $50,000, I've decided that ANPAC's CHROME policy will be my best option.

I have State Farm. Not only will they insure your Cobra, but they will pay you what it is worth when you total it. They insured my FFR titled as a 1996 Cobra replica. Then they gave me a bunch of money after I put it into the wall. And now I have my Backdraft Cobra insured with them titled as a 2003 Cobra replica. Insurance went from about $500 a year to almost $800 a year. $100 a year of that was due to the wreck and the rest is due to the higher cost of insuring a 2003 vehicle as opposed to a 1996 vehicle. I'm insured in Missouri.

I have State farm also ( in TN). My cost is a/b $90. a year.
But, I have mine registerd as a '67 w/ Anitque tags. Had to sign
a paper saying I would drive the car less than 1,000 miles per
year. Insured for $25k.

By the way, my mileage is 7,500 a year. And that is the least they will go. I tried to talk them into lowering the premium for less mileage and they said 7,500 was as low as they would go for this car. I think if you have a car that is titled/registered as a classic, 25 years old, they will do like they did for WBofTN and sign you up for less mileage.

State Farm in NorCal....Their web page says they insure "Replicas"

curtis

Niles, How does State Farm explain a replica being an "Antique or Classic" OR belonging in a "Antique and Classic" policy? I'm with SF but as a 65 AC Cobra Replica 7500mi/year and over a grand/yr

State farm is the way to go. I was paying close to $1000 a year with farmers and a not agreed upon value either. Went to an agent in Willoughby, Oh and got a fully insured policy with an agreed upon value of $40,000 for $110 every 6 months. My car is titled as a "2001 Self Assembled Vehicle - '67 S/C Cobra Replica". Only $100 deductible, 300/100 liability, 5,000 medical and 300/100 uninsured, even emergency road service and towing.
How can you beat that, and I don't have anything else with them, cars or house.
It is rated as an antique or classic motor vehicle with racing or speed contest exclusions.
They have it listed as a 1967 Ford Cobra Replica 2DR class 1S0W000.
The premium is gurranteed thru 2005.
Unbelievable!!!!!!!
Bye the way a big thank you to another A & C owner, John Mazzolini for the tip.
Jim
