FIA wheels for pin-drive adapters?
Subject line says it all, does anyone know where I can get FIA style wheels that can be used with 5 pin-drive adapters? I did a search here and came up empty.

John - I won the bid on the Kirkham that was auctioned on Ebay last week, which is the FIA-427 hybrid car. It comes with FIA pin drive wheels, which must be authentic if they come on a Kirkham. I suggest you contact them for information..

Yeah, But
If I had a Kirkham I could use the authentic thing, but I believe you have SC style wheels. Besides, they are for authentic 6 pin-drive hubs w/o adapters. It looks like I will need adapters and a 5 pin wheel. Anyone else?

John: Lynn Park has ALL SORTS of pin-drive wheels, adapters, spinners, et al....five-pin, and six-pin. Give him a call, (818) 248-7446. I think he is up in Monterey racing one of his Cobras this week, but leave a message, and he will get back to you soon!

Thanks Guys
I've looked at the Trigo web site but I haven't talked to anyone in person so I guess that's my next step. I appreciate the help.

All I can say is they look ten times better than the factory Trigos IMHO. They fit with zero problems, they run $1600 if I remeber correctly. One thing to note Lynn is not the greatest businessman, he is slow to respond and he requires many calls to get them.

Gents,
They hybrid car was sold with the S/C rims because the car came fitted with HUGE Wilwood brakes. The brakes currently won't fit under the FIA rims. We are working with Lynn to make the rims bigger to fit the new brakes. It may take quite a while to get everything tuned up though.
As for, "Lynn is not the greatest businessman." I must simply step in. Kirkham has done business with Lynn since 1989. There is no better businessman in the world. Lynn has loaned us irreplaceable parts to copy at no cost for extended periods of time. Lynn has ALWAYS returned my phone calls. Lynn has always done his best to help us. Lynn is one of the FEW businessmen I have ever dealt with that has not shaded the truth, lied for his own gain, etc. Lynn had NEVER been involved in any dubious or nefarious business practices. Slow to answer/return the phone does not make someone a bad businessman--although I would take issue with that as well. I think people have a "Wal-Mart" mentality and for all the wishing on my part and regardless of all my endevors, it simply is not so. We have to make parts on order and I, for one, am glad Lynn spent the incredible sum of money he did to make rims available to the rest of us on a moment's notice.
Just my humble opinion, IMHO the FIA rims are cooler looking too.

I'm Confused
Somewhere I got it in my head that Lynn Park was associated with Tirgo. So, they are different entities?

Well said David. I can't wait until the FIA wheels can be made to work with the big Wilwood's. I have already told Lynn that I will buy a set as soon as they become available. I think that they look great on a 427.

Lynn Park own's Trigo. He has the FIA 5 pin drive wheels available.
He just started shipping them 2-3 weeks ago, I know of 3 sets that have been received in that time frame, all 15" wheels.
He has done me a favor and didnt know me from Adam, needed some knockoffs for about a month while mine were being polished during a build. Easy to contact and took care of me just like he said he would.

Lynn Park owns Trigo.
Trigo makes
289 FIA rims
427 S/C rims
They sell them to most manufacturers--including Shelby and Kirkham.
I believe Superformance makes their own rims, however.
David
Lew,
Working on getting them to fit.

Well, David I am glad you hold them in such high regard, “birds of a feather”. My comment is based on my own experience. We had to make multiple calls to get the wheels ordered, once ordered we were told they would ship the next day. Two weeks go by and no wheels. We call them up again (takes two days for a response), this time they lost the order and cannot recall the conversation two weeks prior. The wheels finally did ship after the last conversation!
In our line of work this kind of business practice is not acceptable. I deal personally with over fifty manufacturers of standard and custom products and the percentage of these people who work similar to Trigo is 2%, and that 2% is never called again. Therefore I am not going to change my position, I wish you and Trigo luck in the future.
