Some of my Monterey Historics Pics...
What a great time at the Monterey Historics and Concours events! Wow! I had a chance to meet some of you members out there. We started with Friday at Concorso Italiano and on to the Shelby Corral at the Monterey Historics, and our group even got tracked down on highway one and inteviewed by DVD magazine doing a future movie and story on car enthusiasts...
If you didn't get a chance to make it, here is a link to a quick photo album I put together... There were some very nice Ford displays there to see. Check it out if you are interested. Enjoy.
I drove the Corkscrew for the first time. It's incredible!
Did anyone get any good video footage of the Shelby Corral cars going around the track, or anything near the start/finish line? Man that was fun.

That's a GREAT set of pictures!!
Duane,
That is really a great set of photos you have! I am really jealous, but at least I got to see some of the track and some really rare cars through your camera's eye!
Thanks for the post.
John Russell.

Duane-
I was there too, My wife, daughter and I flew out for the weekend from Charleston, SC and had a great time. My sons met us there and we all enjoyed the great sights and sounds of the small block fords (O.K. we enjoyed listening to the BB's too, but we are partial to the FIA's.)
Great pictures, I'll try to put some of mine up when I get home from work.
Sorry I missed you, but I did see your cars in front of the B+B in Pacific Grove. Looked sweet.

Duane,
Good job on the pics. It was nice to meet you, and I apreciated your comments on the old Butler...by the way your car was Tina's "best of show" winner...what a beauty!
And I am still pumped about the "parade laps" we were able to do. The instructions said stay up with the group, and when the group is hitting 100 down the straight, you have no choice. Got some good squeels out of Tina going down the corkscrew...what a thrill. WEEEEEEEEE!!!

Hi All,
Hi Jamo, SFFireDog, Roy/Tina-65Blur and others.
It was perfect running in to all of you there. Last week was a pretty big deal for me and some of the crew that joined me this year. I was sort of the trip tour guide from early Thursday to late Monday evening. Thank you for all the nice comments on the car. I really enjoyed myself and especially meeting all of you. Aren't Cobras and Cobra people just great! Sooooo Cooooool.
Well, it's back to Reality again... but to soften the blow we are already starting to plan for next year. I can't believe it, other people outside of our crew are already starting to reserve rooms quickly at the B&B we stay at each year. We had not even checked out yet and 12 of 26 rooms are already reserved for 2004.
If you guys want to join in next year, let me know and I can give you the details. We may do a Friday drive to Hurst Castle on Hwy 1 next year instead of the Italiano, doing Laguna Seca on Saturday, and possibly doing Concours' De Elegance on Sunday for the ladies for 2004. Let me know if you want to hook up.
To cap it off, one of my good friends put his name down on the list for one of the Shelby Cobras while we were there so he can join in too next year. I'm starting to collect good photos and video footage to see if I can produce some sort of private DVD or something...we'll see on that.
Thanks Again! Duane
