Talking

Rich,
Originally I just meant that the 2 guys in the Carrera were being snobby, but it looks like people are defensive about it.
Max, your engine sounds wicked, it would be a pleasure to be beat by it.
Perry.

Hey guys! Gotta remember it is not the car but the bonehead behind the wheel! My theory is buy what you want and make sure to enjoy it, and appreciate what other guys are going to open their wallets to buy and enjoy.

Like all other car clubs, there are good Porsche guys and bad Porsche guys, I thankfully make sure to hang with the good guys!

Funny how alot of the good guys also are Cobra owners?? Go figure??

Once a car junkie.........................

Go enjoy!!

Default What constitutes a snob?

With a few carefully selected replacements inserted into HighPlains original thread we can debate the meaning of snob.

High Pockets for HighPlainsDrifter (no need to pick on him)
Leggy blond with a short skirt for the Porsche (very similar we all want one)
Large Johnson Rod for the Cobra (no need to explain)

Now we revisit the original thread with a few substitutions.

High Pockets is cruising the isle of his favorite supermarket when he spots the leggy blond strolling down the isle. High Pockets weaves his way through the crowd until he is side by side with leggy. Seeking to impress leggy High Pockets unzips his Levis and produces his impressive Johnson. Leggy is not impressed and moves on to the check out counter (she may have better at home) only to be followed by High Pockets.

High Pockets takes up a position directly behind leggy and begins to admire the shape. Leggy bends over slightly to pick up her checkbook revealing a bit more leg (blipping the throttle in High Pockets mind). High Pockets, with Johnson in hand is dreaming of a close encounter and jacks himself into full alert. Leggy bends way over to retrieve the last item in her cart (she’s ready in High Pockets mind). High Pockets suddenly lunges forward in full anticipation. In his haste he nearly succeeds in a rear collision with an unwanted entry. Leggy realizes his intent and coolly walks to her car ignoring the now sideways High Pockets. Is leggy a snob?

Default snobs?

I was at the Grocery store this morning. Checking the price of Oreo's. I couldnt believe that the other brandX (like Oreo's) had twice as much cookies in them than the origional Oreo's and cost 1/2 as much, Which makes them 1/4 as much in total cost. Ive bought the other brand before and with milk Ireally cant tell a significant difference to justify the cost!

Course you'll want to hide the package when your pals come around, and serve em in low light so the missing and authentic "oreo" logo prominatley featured on each cookie is not readily discernable....

I bought whatever brand leggy bought, just so I could stay near her. I ended up with a cart full of stuff I didn't need or want but I did get my cookies.

Since it's obvious many of you have time on your hands, here is something to work on.

Some of them were a bit aprehensive, like shouting " What's up with Ricky Rudd ?" at the driver's meeting, but soon came around to see what was making all the noise, and actually they were very nice by the end of the day. TC told me that snobs have small units and are trying to compensate ( not sure how he did his research ).
By the way, they all thought I was actually Ricky Rudd. I guess they do not watch NASCAR.
Johan

Those "Porch" drivers must not watch NECKAR on TV or they would know you are Bill Elliott not Ricky Rudd. Your "Cup" car has a big yellow M on the hood. Does Micky D's send any sponsorship money your way?

When are we celebrating your birthday again? I need to BBQ some more car parts.LOL:

I wave to everyone when I am riding, unless I encounter someone in full armor on a bike. Then, I just look the other way. You never know you wave at something like that, next thing you know you are being challenged to a duel...

Not worth the risk.

I raced a couple of 911's..not yet met the turbo...but the best was a Boxter. The had just come out and I had no idea what they were capable of. The guy jumped off like a hurricane. I felt like the Cobra could leap over him as it hit second...by third it was already nightfall ! I waited for him at the next light. He laughed an asked if I would trade him my car for his . Nice guy with a really cool car and a fun attitude. I would not even consider a road course duel with a Porsche , especially with my straight line set up. I think we all have the love of a great sports car in common. It does not matter where the car is at it's best....it is the thrill and privelege of driving a car that can rock n roll.
Take my PT Cruiser for example....Hah !! That's more like Easy Listening or no...Elevator Music !
