Hey All -
I have received all of your emails of confirmation today through ClubCobra. The printer said they should be done by end of this week... I'll start mailing them out next week - if they are ready and look okay. I'd like to get some early feedback on them too. The result is sort of low-key and different looking. Now I wish my SAAC sticker on the opposing side of my windshield had clear backing like this one. All positive and negative or constructive feeback welcome...

cas,
actually you are not too far off. If I stand on my roof, I can see the guard towers. Have a few friends that work there... every once in a while you hear a few shots go off (said to be rubber bullets used). Sometimes I forget its here... Gee, now that you mention it, I probably could have had them make a bid on the stickers... They make stuff over there and sell it in the gift shop. Hey, maybe I could get them to manufacture exact fiberglass Cobras for us over there like CS does/did in Vegas! - just kiddin'.

I'm in for 3, SASE on the way.
Hey guys, how about $7 for 3 stickers, to cover Duane's efforts? He had to burn some gas with all those trips to the printer! Not to mention finger wear typing on this thread!

Sent a check today, with the ubiquitous SASE! Does a reply on this thread count as the e-mail?

Question on Decals - Problem on dark paint jobs...
Hello All,
Question on Decals - Problem on dark paint jobs...
We put one of the new stickers on a dark red cobra today; Photoguys Red/White Butler Cobra. It does not look good or show up well with the clear-backing sticker scheme on dark Red, Black, dark Blue colored cars with the sticker low on the windshield. On my silver car, it reflects light from behind and off the paint from the cowl/dash area. So the clear-back stickers look pretty neat on light cars, but not darker cars. I started receiving checks in the mail today from some of you, and don't want to send any stickers out until I hear what you would like to do. Sorry for the inconvenience. It seems the R&D continues for certain cars.
Your Choice:
1) Send you the clear-back stickers anyhow... as-is. Not noticeable on dark paint cars.
2) You'd prefer to wait to get stickers printed with white backing instead next week.
3) I can return your check/money
Let me know what you would like to do. Thanks, Duane.

Hi. PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR CLUB COBRA MEMBER ID "Handle or Knicknames" when you send your self-addressed stamped envelope for the stickers. Some of your names are different than your CC handles, and I need to track who wants clear-backed or white-backed stickers, and most importantly want to be sure I can match up the email/ClubCobra reply requests with what comes in the regular postal mail...
Thanks, Duane

Updated application procedure:
* Use Alchohol to clean your glass vs. Windex. Less residue.
* Use a pindrop of dishsoap in a spray bottle, apply water film to glass to help push out any air bubbles you might create
* Soak the glass right as you are laying down sticker (get a helper to spray for you as you lay it down)
* If you have a film of water under sticker, you can use the water to push any bubbles out. No Water usually = bubbles unless you are a pro at this doing them dry!
* Apply sticker from left to right or right to left. Not from middle.
* As you lay it down, swipe right behind it with a credit card to prevent bubbles and to keep it laying down evenly
* You can soak the fuzzy protective layer before you remove it
* If it does not work out, we can always send three more.
I've tried this a few times now, and using water helps to push the bubbles out more than attempting it dry. Have Fun!
If someone comes up with any better ways, please let us know. So far this seems to work okay.
