Latest info on Club Cobra decal please
Hello,
What was the results of the poll conducted for the 10 entries for Club Cobra windshield decal? I would like to purchase some of the winning decals and are the other or non winning decals available also.
Thanks for the info. Jeff C

I agree with you, Jeff! So, which window decal won, and when will they be available?

Results & Questions for all of you!
Sticker number (2) is the winning window sticker with the most votes received by ClubCobra members!
Here are the poll results and the original thread.
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...highlight=poll
Update:
A few of you stated you'd like to have the word "Member" and/or your personal Member names on your stickers... the more unique and custom, the trickier it gets. I went to a local graphics provider and checked into making some up. It seems like it won't be a problem if we have enough interest to print up a few batches. Making 5 or 10 won't be worth it. If we need a hundred or more, it will be more feasible. The challenge is I'm getting emails from various people wanting different stickers from the poll, which makes a little difficult. We agreed to vote, people voted, and sticker number (2) won. I tried reaching the winning artist a few times, and still awaiting a response from him. I even went out an purchased an upgraded photo printer to try and make some up myself to do a few test samples... The test samples turned out okay, but not the quality we need. I don't mind fronting the money for the first batch if we can find someone who will do this reasonably, and can produce a quality sticker that we are actually satisfied with enough to put on our cars, right?
Questions:
1) Do you want it to stick on from the outside or inside of your windshield?. Note: this started out as a window sticker.
2) Do you want it printed on both sides like the Shelby SAAC sticker is today? That one sticks from the outside, but you can see it on the inside of your windshield too. This is a bit more elaborate to produce; about three times the cost.
3) Approximately how many do each of you want. 1,2,3?
4) If I can get them made up, would you guys have a problem sending a self-addressed stamped envelope so I can get them mailed right out as soon as I get it? Just wondering on that one.
5) 2", 2.5", or 3" diameter? The original graphics some of us produced for the poll were exactly 3"? I would say 3".
Note: I can follow up on this pending your responses and to get a better idea of what to expect. Thanks, Duane

Calling Buzz?
Hi Buzz,
if you see this, I also sent you an email on this too.
You produced the winning sticker; sticker #2. I need to talk with you about a slight modification request that keeps coming up. Various members want the word "Member" on there... Would like to get your ideas and creativity input on it, and to see if we can align/clean it up just a bit more for a final proof for the printer.
Thanks,
Duane

Duane,
I like the 3" size also. And when the final design is decided upon I will want more than one. Sending a self addrssed stamped envelope is no problem at all. Can I also just send a money order with it to pay for the stickers ? So far as names go, if it could have the members name on it I would like that but it is not an important issue with me. I think I prefer the stick on the inside type and one side graphics only. One more thing. Would it be possible to reverse the colors on the Cobra in the sticker? Mine is white with red stripes. Not a big issue if it is to much trouble. I would want at least four and maybe more.

Thanks to everybody that made this work!
I will take whatever the FINAL is. Would be happy to send SASE and would volunteer to get a group order from our local club to make your life easier and think many clubs would also. Single order would still happen but group orders would help!
The word MEMBER would be cool and since it is a round decal you could place on the inside and outside of glass for the double printed look at a much lower price. I would like to see price for double printed though. I will stay tuned for instructions.
THANKS AGAIN. Jeff C.

I have a sign shop close by that can do a "photo quality" print on adhesive backed vinyl. If I have a properly sized copy of the art work (digital), I can take it down and get a price from them.
Yours In Fords,
Bill S.

I agree, adding "member" would be cool. 3" which sticks on the inside is best. Self-addressed envelope is also no problem.
But why don't we make the car look classy and make it green with no stripes Just kidding, I'll take it in whatever form it's in.

Duane, you probably are already on this path, but for everyone's benefit, here are my suggestions:
1. Let Duane get the original art from Buzz, modified with a spot for "member".
2. Duane can get us prelim pricing and his contact info for sending the SASE.
3. Set up a "sign-up sheet" - perhaps as a thread or something easier to track people's contact info and quantity requested. This should be treated as a commitment to purchase. I could keep a spreadsheet if no one else wants to or if there is no easy way on the website.
4. If you don't like the winner, I'd suggest contacting the original artist and arranging any kind of transfer that you want. It may seem weird at a show though, to have 10 different Club Cobra stickers... This is not an "officially sanctioned" sticker, but we should present a consistent look...
Todd
PS: my vote is for a 3" inside sticker. If people want different colors, maybe make it clear and they can color it in with a marker... Just kidding.

This is cool, I just asked aboout these last week and now here they are. I would like four(4) when they are available and let me know where you need the SASE and how much. I'll take them any way that they are available, 3" and whatever colors were voted on. Thanks for all of your efforts and the site!

Hey guys...
As soon as I hear back from Buzz, I'll know a little more to pass along. The printing and cost should not be an issue, but I wanted to be up front with everyone so we don't try to end up with 5 variations of the same sticker.
I appreciate everyone's input and ideas. I would like to propose that we limit these to ClubCobra members only to keep it sort of special AND when we see one, we know it's a members car. Just a thought.
I will respect the original designers thoughts, (waiting for a final proof) so we get a few things fixed on the prototype so we can take it to the next steps. I imagine it'll be a week or so before i can get more details. Yes, group orders for area clubs would be better too to help save a bit of time, money, energy!
I don't want to rush it. We need a good, clean sticker that will last for a long time to come! And we want to be happy with it, right? Thanks.

CC Decals
Duane,
1.) I vote for the type of decal that can be seen from both sides and printed on clear film that will be placed on the outside. (Reading from the inside will be in reverse, but you can see thru.
2.) 2.5 " diameter should be plenty of size. Windshields on cobras are small enough without anything on them.
3.) "Member" should be included on all decals, as we are all members, so why not include from the start. Maybe insert in the blue /green circle under "Club Cobra."
4.) Self addressed stamped envelope for return of decals a must; check for payment can be included went sent to whoever is handling.
5.) I'll sign up for 6 of them.
