Duane: 1. Inside or outside 2. outside 3. Four (for spares. Hot California sun, you know!) 4. SASE is not a problem! 5. Any size, although Terry Lee had a good point about the small size of Cobra windshields. Maybe have a white or blank "bar" at the bottom of the sticker; we can then put our names and/or handles there, on the bottom...

Default profit?

Misfit41,
I'm not sure I uderstand your grammar or the intent of your post... This effort is NOT-FOR-PROFIT and a very small contribution to ClubCobra by various members who enjoy being part of it. "Breaking even" or trying to generate a profit from club stickers is not a concern or consideration for most of us.

Hi guys.
Duane, sorry I took so long to reply. Was on line earlier and didn't recieve the email - I will check again. Send me the exact specs (size, format, resolution, changes, etc.) and I will be happy to supply. I can send you the finished file or send it directly to the printer. Modifications/changes are no problem.

Default Update#2.

..an update for those of you who are actually interested

Visited the graphics printer company today. Exciting. They make graphics for people all over the world and produce the local decals for our Police cars here... They took a look at our prototype graphic and will be able to produce what we need for less than $2 a sticker with a mirror image on front and back. The cutting machines they have are pretty trick for cutting out all sorts of compsite shapes, etc. Here is what they offer.

* 7-year vinyl decals, resistant to heat and outdoor sun
* Can produce blocks of 50 for us
* Takes a week to get them
* They recommended using an "outside" sticker instead. We can still mirror the back or leave it white. The test we did showed that behind the glass was good, but much more sharp on the outside. Also, the Shelby SAAC sticker is an external sticker, and it will match the opposing side and size if you have one.
* They came up with 2.8" diameter so we can fit more on one decal sheet. Its a little closer to the Shelby SAAC size, which is nice.
* I'm still waiting to hear back from Buzz. I took the liberty to try and modify the sticker a bit to see what it would look like if we made the few changes people asked about.

Just trying something here til Buzz gets back to us...

Default To Buzz

Hey Buzz,
please send me an email through ClubCobra, or direct at decooney@comcast.net. I sent an email to you using the "email" button in your profile, but I guess its not getting to you. I did see some SMTP errors earlier...

I lost your direct email address from when you sent the 2005 Cobra graphic. If you send me a direct email, I'll reply so we can get the final cut from you.

The remaining specs to change, to be exact are... we can discuss as needed on email, or I can give you my MSN/IM id if you use IM.

- 2.57" diameter, no more than 2.8" max
- add the "MEMBER" logo as requested
- ? add a blank spot so members can write in their id/handle
- adjustments to Club Cobra letters
- ? Adding ClubCobra inside of circle allows for larger car pic
- any last minute flare or tune up you'd like to show us
- email me the file (best resolution you can) and I'll hand carry to the printer as requested, not via email to them.
I plan to order 50 or 100 stickers for the first round

Thanks, Duane

I think the blank square for you to write in your name should be dropped.....looks cleaner without it....

If indeed stickers are under 2.00 to produce, charge 3.00 a sticker and either use for Jenny or give to Brent for support of this site....

Jack,
good ideas. I agree, the space shoudl be left off. Also, your idea to charge the extra dollar and give it to ClubCobra is an excellent idea. We can check with Brent on that. I want to be sure this is definitely not-for-profit, and any proceeds would go to ClubCobra.

Post the result of this thread on the main page, so everyone can order stickers.

Yeah, the "member blank" looks out of place. How about putting the "member blank" completely under the sticker/decal?

I'm in for 3. Just let me know where and when to send the SASE...

I definately think the spot for our handle would be cool. I agree with Edley - under would be the best spot. Would this violate the 2.8" limit?

ANY HOPE OF HAVING THESE READY TO BE SHIPPED BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER?
IF SO, I WOULD LIKE TO INCREASE MY ORDER TO 24 DECALS FROM THE ORIGINAL 6 I MENTIONED IN MY PREVIOUS POST.
WE WILL USE FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE KEYS KRUZE AND POKER RUN IN OCT.
THANKS,
TL

Default Hey....

Currently we are just waiting for Buzz to finish the final proof for the printer to print and cut them. Once I have that, I can go to the printer and get it done. Getting them printed is not an issue...

The next steps will be... once I get the first proof sticker back from the printer and it looks good, I'll start a new thread with directions on how where to submit requests. That's the easy part...

An ETA (I hope) probably will be around the end of September. We'll see, and again, we are not trying to rush this but I don't think we are lagging either (On schedule). We want a nice and clean sticker that people will actually like and use. Thanks for everyone's interest and passion about your upcoming stickers. See what happens when you get your Cobra done, we keep looking for little stuff to do... simple pleasures... See Ya. Duane

You can count me in for at least 10. Any place to pre-sign up so you can get a decent required count?
