Attention Buzz...
Hey Buzz,
we need a higher resolution file of the image you originally sent for the contest. Just for kix, I ran a test today on some high quality photo paper and the image does not look sharp enough. The one you sent me originally might have been low reso?... I don't know... I sent you some emails through CC but have not received your response yet. Don't have your direct email any longer.
Please let me know how you'd like to proceed with the final so we can get this wrapped up. Also, 3" looks too big. 2.5" is probably going to be about right and we might have better reso if its a bit smaller... Thanks!

Something nice to give serious consideration, would be to put the year of the sticker, ie: 2004. This way, if someone has the ambition to this on a annual basis, then you could have a yearly poll, to select a new image!
Secondly, this small revenue could go to Club Cobra expenses which are incurred by Brent, or To THE JENNY FUND. Maybe give members the choice even, on where the proceeds should go.
I think that an annual new sticker with Club Member year dates is very cool, as well as very COLLECTIBLE!

DUANE: THE FINAL HI RES VERSION HAS BEEN READY FOR SOME TIME NOW. Each time I check this thread there are ideas & suggestions regarding the "member" space. I have been awaiting final specs. What is the decision regarding this? Let me know on this thread and I will send it immediately. Not sure where your emails are going, but they're definitely not going to me. I've never responded in the desired manner to threats and ultimatums, FRIEND, and I'm not about to start now. Communicate the final specs to me ON THIS THREAD (no more lost email issues) and the job is done. If you still feel the need to send an email my address is buzzgraffix@excite.com

Contact!
Roger NASA we have contact!
Hi Buzz,
Either email through ClubCobra was not working again, or maybe your profile might not have the right email address in it. Sorry, no threats here...taking action to keep this going. Sorry, I'm not much for tact and all for getting the job done, and was not able to reach you - at all. And, I posted my email address before... Obviously a technical communication error and we're glad to see you are here again and have been ready for us. Folks, we are rolling again.
Buzz,
- Final remaining specs I sent you in the three email attempts:
- 2.5" diameter
- Add the word "MEMBER" in caps to the bottom 1/3 section
- Switch "ClubCobra" to inside of the sticker vs. outside
This will allow the full sticker to maintain a full 2.5" diameter...
- Remove "Just another Snake in.." - keeps graphic larger instead
- Any final touch-ups you have to offer
removed
THANKS BUZZ!

Tact or no tact, leave the bull$hit out and we'll get along just fine. I really shouldnt be responding to your "point" about the final version being ready but here it is anyway: I meant that I went ahead and created a full size 250dpi layered rendering of the original concept ready for forwarding as is or modification as required.
I also made up 2 versions which moved the lettering inside the circular frame - one with the word "member" in the top quarter and one without. These are what I attempted to attach without success. I have resized them and let's see if they make it this time around.

These, as you can see are lo res jpeg's. This is a jpeg of the one you "asked" about. If the one with the word member is satisfactory, I can have it ready to send within the hour. Let me know.

I see you edited out that particular segment of your post which will leave others wondering what the heck I'm talking about. Oh well..
I can replace "not just another snake etc.." at the bottom with "member". My preference is to keep the slogan but this is your baby. Give me the final word and I will get it ready for output.

MEMBER
Hi Buzz,
can we see what it would look like if you moved MEMBER down to the black area under the tires, with letters in solid white, maybe a hair smaller font size letters and set it straight across vs. curved... right now it's kind of busy just under the CC logo. I edited my previous post accidentally stating "December" instead of end of "September". I corrected that and yes removed the other garbage... And, BTW, we all respect that fact that your design is the winning sticker, and we want to keep it that way.
Also, is there any way to make "not just another snake in the grass" just a hair smaller letters so it fits 50/50 from 8:30 to 3:30 positioning? Just a thought. Thanks for your work on this. Seems we are getting close. Want to get it done so I can send these motivated members some stickers. I'll check back later this evening... going for a late Cobra drive with friends. THANKS!

You're right - it does look alot better with MEMBER moved to the bottom. I tried it straight but it really clashed with the general curvature of the rest of the graphic so I gave it a bit of a curve and it made a big difference. What d'ya think?

Here's the "straight" version. Actually it doesn't look too bad either. Matter of personal preference I guess. Either way, the hi res versions are ready to roll.
Nothing untoward meant when I said this is your baby - You've done all the organizing and groundwork to get this accomplished. It's a great idea for the club and I am sincerely happy to be able to help give something back.
Hope you enjoy the drive - Pauline just called me outside to see the sky. Big bright moon and the remaining wisps of a real nice sunset. Perfect night for a topless cruise (We might take the Cobra's top off too) or a dip in the pool with a glass of wine. Hmmm... decisions decisions.

GrrrrrrrrrrrrREAT!
Buzz,
looks awesome. I like both about the same. The curved MEMBER one has a little more flare to it for some reason. The straight looks clean and is easy to read in a plain way, and it accentuates the curved writing on the outside edges a bit. The black background behind it adds just a little more contrast to the letters now. The new font sizing tweaks fit well...
Great Job. THANK YOU BUZZ!.
Send the one that you like, and we'll go with that. We are done with this part. Once you send it, I'm off to the printer after work on Monday.
BTW: Just got back from our drive. It was the coolest drive all Summer here in Sac. Super nice sunset too. Went 300 miles yesterday, and 90 more today. Plenty of bugs to show for it now. Thanks again for your time on the final. You've got my email address.
