Gas prices!
The least expensive (I dare not call it cheap!) 91 octane gasoline is at $2.25. Most of the other stations have the 91 octane at $2.34 and up. What are the prices where you live?

I have to admit when I was driving home today, I noticed gas was 1.84/gallon. I don't think I have ever seen it that high here in Utah. Seems like it shot up over night.
You guys in California are out of control. Reminds me of Europe!

$2.45/gal in Sac... up the valley from Sacramento it is a real deal.... $2.33/gal!. What a racket! This evening on the news they stated $1.56/gal in the south east of the U.S. That's interesting, since we have so many refineries on the west coast. Growing up I can remember passing the hat (beer can) to collect a couple of bucks and driving around all night (for $0.25.9/ gal for 110+ octane!). AKA - the good old days!

We are looking at $2.35 a gallon minimum here for 91 octane.
Cheapest I have seen all week is $2.09 for 87 octane.
We have gone up $.40/gal this month. most of it in less then a week. We had the local stations jump $.20/gal over night.

I suppose we could presume to ask VP Cheney's take on the energy spike - but unfortunately, that commission's findings are top secret.
We're apparently too stupid to understand the concept of supply and demand.
Sort of like when Enron (among others) manufactured our 'energy crisis' of two years ago in California - helping to precipitate a 60 million dollar 'recall' coup attempt.
Trust me guys - what you don't know - hurts you.

I am sure the taxes on a gallon of California gasoline has nothing to do with what we pay.
Let's add more MTBE and other envromentally friendly agents to the gasoline, and put more restrictions on the refineries while we are at it.
Since we did so well meddling in the electricity generation and distribution let's follow Bustamante's leadership and regulate the Oil Companies while we are on a roll.
When will we ever learn?

When you consider whats involved to make a gallon of gas, really its not all that bad, you guys are spoiled !!
Start with drilling and pumping, transportation to a refinery. Those refinerys don't come cheep eather, seperating the crude oil into Tar, Heavy Lube, Light lube, Stove Oil, Diesel Oils, Gasolines, Solvants etc. etc.........
Then you have the additives that are essential to gasoline, the quality testing before it goes into storage tanks. Then it's transported to distribution points eather by truck or pipeline, then trucked to local service stations where we gripe about Two Dollars a gallon price !!
But, you same guys don't have a second thought about going in the convience store and buying bottled water for the equivelent of 4-5 dollars a gallon !!
One would think........
It will be a cold day in HE!! when gas is cheaper than water !!
Welcome to He!!.
Now, if you want to talk about taxes on gas and water, thats political...........
I won't go there, that would really urinate me off !!
edited for nasty words !!

We can't get Sunoco up here but Yesterday Texaco 91 octane was $2.79 a gallon. It went up 19 cents a gallon the day after the Phoenix pipe line broke. The highest I have seen here was $3.57 back some time ago when we had another gas shortage. I can now fill my lawnmower on the cheapest gas for just over $5.00. It is a push mower by the way with a small tank.

There is a spot in a field across town where crude oozes out of the ground. I just go over there and pump it into 55 gallon
drums. Then we crack it down in our still.

EXCUSE ME!!!
I drove by the station this morning and it was $2.05/gallon! (Premium)
WHAT HAPPENED?
My 42 gallon tank--WOW!
Oh well, it is definately worth it. These cars are so cool I'd pay 5 bucks a gallon for the smile it puts on my face. Where else are you going to get such a cheap thrill? (Turk, don't answer that PLEASE!!!)
"Cheap" disregarding the initial price of the metal wrapped around that tank--that is.
I can't wait for that wacko in California to regulate the gas stations--won't be long before gas is $5/gallon in California so everyone can pay for all of the regulation. You guys are going to trade one idiot for another...

Sorry guys, I'm having a real hard time coming up with "aloha" for you. Gas has been SO high here for SO long I stopped looking a long time ago.
,,,well, acutally I stopped looking after I got the company gas card, what the heck do I care. And for the Cobra? It's all about smiles per gallon anyway!

David K. is right. Two bucks a gallon? Pffft! So WHAT? I don't care what it costs to pour dinosaur juice into my Cobra: It's worth every penny. Now my F-250, well, that's a different story...
Yeah, I don't think they teach basic economics in the CA schools.

U.S. drivers have had it good re: gas prices, in fact most of the Western hemisphere from Canada south to South America has enjoyed relatively cheap gas prices for years--Europe has averaged between $3 and $5 per gal (U.S.) for years(correct me if I'm wrong Wilf)--now we're getting a chance to experience it --gas here on the Island is $1.95 for 91 octane as of Wed. And I was told the prices were going up by Friday--haven't gassed up since Wed. so I don't know what it is today.
PS Idea--pull all our troops and advisers out--then level that friggin' $Hitole of a country--then go in and sort out the remaining assholes--turn it into a big oil oilfield for U.S. use
