Seriously, Dreammaster...are you really an SPF dealer?

You don't sound like the others I've met.

All this is not just a coincidence, is it?
Recent press releases from SPF dealers who are being very vigilant about Shelby, without identifying themselves as such.

In my earlier days I learned rather rapidly (I am a fast learner) I did better talking about Chevrolets when a customer came looking for a Cherolet, talking about what I knew to be a fact about my product than wasting my time and -the customer's- talking about what I thought I knew about Fords and Dodges.

The moment I started talking positevly about MY product I started selling more cars and trucks than I did when I was just bad mouthing the others.

Try it!

Reading this thread makes it harder and harder to see yourself in an SPF. The more the SPF guys keep telling me how bad everyone else is and how stupid people are for not buying into the SPF line, the more one has to wonder. If the car is sooooo good, what are they sooooooooo worried about?

Having said that, I know the gang in Ross, OH. It IS a great car and they have some great dealers. But, hey, nobody's perfect.

Thumbs down you were warned!

Doug,
Thanks for creating a new position at Superformance.
Where do I get an application for the new "Damage Control" position?

BJ,

Agree; perhaps there IS something rotten in Denmark, Cape Town, or where ever.

Maybe we should shift from Shakespeare to "Tales of The Boogie Man" and the point will get across.

Seriously Ron, You know I am a Superformance Dealer , as I posted earlier in this thread, I'm an open book, no Mystery here. I'm not hiding, but I did have to go to bed last night and you posted your question after I signed off. It is obvious why you posted that question?

Believe me, I KNOW that the vast majority who read of all this are seeing through the smoke. They too what answers, and maybe they will get them before they hand over their money. If that happens, GREAT!

No one has to be a SPF dealer to figure out that something is wrong with what is going on.

It's pretty simple, POST pictures, and shut everybody up that really has any questions about the validity of this offer and production of these cars. Forget me and SPF, just answer the questions posted by DEX and Hottcobra, WHY NOT??????? That might open up to a flood of deposits on the "now, real" cars.

Too much time spent on trying to defend something that should need no defending. As a reasonable person with only a high school education, I, would love to see something coming from these people that are taking money on GHOST cars. Time will tell, as it has so many times in the past.

Amazing that out of all of this, no one STILL has disputed anything that Mike and Jim have stated as fact. Kinda makes you wonder.

Dan, No damage control here, just compassion for fellow enthusiasts such as CSX700. I CARE. It would be nice if those kind of things didn't happen, and there were no homeless people, and there was a cure for cancer, but I can only do so much. lol

Lighten up guys, SHUT me up with proof of something!

Friends in the passion for our cars,

Doug Reed, Reed Performance Motorsports, first Superformance dealer in the US, Bias, yes, Truthful......absolutely!

ADDENDUM TO MY EARLIER POST!

Lest you think I myself doing the same while being critical of others....

I too know Ron Rosen from Ohio, and what a hard working plasant man. He has a beautiful display, I have met him probably no less than dozen times. I have sat and ate with him, I have spent hours with him and his wife. Also met his son.

Each time I have been around him, I was driving someone else's car and each time he has made me feel like I was part of his family. He acts as though we all belong to a more inclusive family. THE COBRA FAMILY.

He has taken time showing me all the innovations in the SPF cars throughout the evolution process. He is a proud and a sharp dealer. We sat there talking about the merits of MY ERA, more than we spent questioning why I din't buy one of his cars.
I caught him on more than once, telling other prospects how nice a car ERA makes!!

With confidence and class like that, he will remain selling a ton of cars and do so the right way.
He is confident, articulate, and proud.
Does one need more than that to represent a car that is a cut above the most?

So with that, I will let you know that I am NOT an SPF basher. I think it is a great car (why else the big sales numbers), and with proper representation will remain ahead of the pack as long as other dealers emulate Ron Rosen and others like him, rather than emulate my earlier days in the car business.

Oh yeah, I just wanted to thank everyone for being totally truthful in complimenting our Superformance cars throughtout this post.

Opinions can differ and change, but facts remain facts.

Thumbs down

Doug,
I think your questions concerning the validity of the CAV SAI car are beyond "concern" and approaching paranoia. Why is it so hard for you to believe that SAI will deliver as promised the car they say they will? They've been around a long time, there a reputable organization. CAV is "real", there not "boiler shop" outfit running a massive scam, as your posts would lead some to conclude.

I think your comments concerning SAI/CAV amount to slander, they don't come off as "concern" for your fellow man at all to me.
Frankly, I'm disgusted with your tone and the way you mock those who have ordered a car and the builders of same.

As the FIRST SPF dealer in the USA I have to conclude that you speak for the SPF organization at large. That essentially what you say IS the current policy of SPF Inc. As such my respect for SPF has taken a major nose dive. Rest assured there is no way in hell I will ever consider owning one now.

My suspicions have been confirmed. The SPF organization has an ego bigger than a bored and stroked 460. I keep hearing what a great car they are. I've seen them up close, looked them over carefully and thought to myself, "I don't see what the big deal is."

But you've made it clear, they AINT no big deal. There just another Cobra builder with a MASSIVE ego and a slick sales approach that keeps telling owners "how special" they are. Via "secret clubs" and "pep talks" and reports about how BIG the company is and "were on the move", blah blah blah. You keep this "illusion" alive. I bought it, hook line and sinker, but my eyes have been opened.

I don't WANT to join your "club". I prefer to make my OWN decisions and not live in fear of making a statement that might get my hand slapped by the "den mother".

SAI will deliver. THATS what your really worried about. More than ever I support Shelbys efforts, whom you have clearly made the "under dog" by your comments! I don't know WHAT to believe from the SPF camp anymore! Don't bother to send pictures, your credibility is shot and they won't help!

Ernie

Doug,
hahaha,a dealer hey ? I have been a car dealer all my life, and I can tell you that negative attitudes will not make sales, and sets a bad example for employees, but nuff said,,I do like the spf, just not the body shape,HOWEVER a CSX it is not,Since you have cost this forum it's credibility, this Is my last post here regarding my new CSX,that is untill I receive it,if I am wrong,I will admit defeat,if I am correct I will gloat,if the latter is true,I expect your new car sales may drop some, but dont despair, you will make it up on the used end when these things start flying back, hell I may buy one for the wife to beat around in,depending on how cheap they get. I am am new to Club Cobra, but have been visiting and reading the forms for the last couple of months, I am just starting a Hunter build.

I am lost as to the point of this thread, If the company (Shelby CAV) is reputable, then who should care other then the, other manufactures, why would an cobra owner care - the more cobra the better, I love having options to look at
