Just a guess.....Alex is associated with some other site, magazine, etc (biased), or just didn't stick around long enough to see all the great things that happen around here (by choice or not). Either way it's unfortunate. I'm sure the editor is aware of this great group, but maybe he/she is biased too when it comes to actually editing.....Hmmmm...kitcarmag.com....maybe?
Pretty humorous. :) |
Brent,
I wonder how many charitable events have been supported by kitcar magazine and how many close friendships have been established. Certainly the cobra family will always find something to argue about, criticize or debate the merits of BUT we also are THE most interactive, supportive group within ANY cobra community. This place is like Cheers, where everyone knows your name and where everyone sets aside differences when the chips are down. You've created a great site and though you still scream like a woman when the turbo spools up in our Porsche, I still think you're a heck of a guy!:D |

Internet savvy enthusiats would love this page.... those looking to purchase a Cobra would find the following sites extreemly helpful.... I have found one that truly was not up to par with the others: www.clubcobra.com. Alex -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you look at what he said literally, while some threads from potential buyers get fairly long, and there are a number of old threads regards the inquiries of "those looking to purchase a Cobra", also, there is a possibly disproportionate representation of a small number of makes who dominate the discussion. Maybe that's what he means, more than just the immature flaming that goes on (and certainly greeted me when I first naively posted). I dunno. Just thinking out loud. Curt Scott certainly flamed ffr in his book, but I guess that doesn't count. Certainly the huge number of pictures in the gallery would be a great help to somebody trying to pick out a style/paint scheme/ dashboard/ roll bar options, etc. |
Never bought an issue, and now it is certain I never will! This site has changed my life and saved me hours and let me meet some great people.

ToyCollector,,,,,actually Kit Car Mag didn't come off as "that bad" in the other thread (which is good reading in my opinion). They WANT letters from CC members answering this guy and said they WILL publish a response!
I'm not sure why they posted the other guys letter in the first place, perhaps there being "fair" to all opinions? I for one WILL be watching to see how this plays out! Unlike "Kit Car Builders" at least they had the good sense to keep the Gasholes out of their mag. Uh,,,er,,,,is that a good thing? LOL Ernie |
