That's right...it's when they were in the flood canal in Los Angeles on their way to the Queen Mary.

Pete.....

That was pretty funny!

I didn't realize it till now after watching this movie a hundred times.....Fog lights on both cars...Hmmm- a possible sponser? If you stare at the car long enough, you'll actually see a driver in the car too.

You ever driven at night through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado? You can't have enough driving lights (fog lights). I ralleyed once. 56 hours coast to coast. No... It wasn't even a contest. Maybe we finished in the middle of the field.

Mike.....

I know what you mean. I drove with a buddy many years ago from Southern Cal to Utah to hook up at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Talk about pitch black conditions, rabbits everywhere......semi-damage to the front end of my buddies road racing Vette. You definitely need the extra lights!

I remember also many years ago when the speed limit was "whatever" in Montana in my buddies 66 GT350 with a set of 48IDA Webers that didn't start working right until you got over 130 mph. I had a 63 1/2 lightweight Galaxie that I will never forget back then with a sticker on the dash that said WHEN SPEED EXCEEDS 125, PLEASE ROLL UP WINDOWS. Well I thought it was cool back then......Thx for the memories

I think all the cars had those lights on them as they were a 'sponsor' for the movie.

now the bonus points can be had for numbering the 2 AC's used in the movie and telling us where they are now.

The movie is "Gumball Ralley". I've watched it so many times it isn't funny.. love it and wish I knew the CSX# on the cobra.. I did notice that it is the one that has the special hood with the cutouts in it.. I'm not sure if it was the only one with that hood on it or if there were more made but I do remember seeing a pic of a car with that particular hood somewhere in a post but for the life of me can't remember where. Somebody enlighten me.. you want to hear something really crazy. We tood the movie back to the blockbuster here in town driving "Lady Vox" and everyone there is convinced that our car is the one that was in that movie.. LOL.. a real kick in the rear huh?

If you want to see some Cobras - Watch "Herbie the Love
Bug". I watched it a few weeks ago w/ my daughter and I
could not believe how many Cobras and other vintage
cars Herbie beat on those road races. I'm thinking of selling
my Cobra and getting a VW bug.

Since no one has answered this part yet...

CSX3243 and CSX3255 (both street cars) were used in the movie, as well as a Butler replica.

I think that MrM posted a while back that the Butler had the extra vents.

... interesting to note that a recent picture of CSX3255 shows it has the square vents on the hood as well. The owner may have added them to match the replica in the movie.

Bill's the master of trivia on this movie, however....
