It seems that you go out of your way to be a a$$hole, was this a talent you were born with or is it something you have been working on.
For you to say that the Superformance forum is all about dogging other Cobra manufacturer's is a joke. I know that you would like to make the people on Club Cobra think that the SCOF forum is a bunch of adult's acting like teenagers talking smack about other Cobra manufacturer's, but the truth is there aren't any members on the SCOF forum that act like you.
I don't see what was so "offensive" with the original question.

I drive a Unique 289 and they are the best, the rest of you guys drive crap..
However, had I bought an FFR 427 or a BDR or a SPF then that would be the best and the Uniques and other brands would be crap..
I'm very flexible and fickle.

Ron,
I'm trying my best to stop........However, if provoked by anyone but "BANDIT 1" (who seems to have a bug up his rear about me, so I'll ignore his unwise, pathetic, remarks), I will indeed defend myself.

It would be difficult for me to compare "options" from one car to another when one of those cars DOES carry a CSX number.
I believe if that CSX number holds no meaning for you, the comparison would be unfair in any regard. To say that VIN number holds no real "value" is just burying your head in the sand. Good, bad or ugly, fact is the CSX number DOES hold "value" for MOST people considering a purchase.
I've looked closely at SPF and I'll say what I said before:
I don't get it, WHAT is the big deal about SPF? OK there a great car, it's not like there the ONLY well done car out there. Personally, I'll take my EXCALIBUR over an SPF anyday. And I REALLY mean that, not in a "mean" way, it's just a FACT!

Wood,
I have a few questions:
1. Ever heard of the search button? All your answers are here if you would actually be impulsive enough to buy a car without directly calling the manufacturers you mention directly for a 1sthand answer. You do know that calling a manufacturer is a really good option, no?
2. Are you actually considering purchasing a CSX4000? Please answer. If yes, I believe the phone number for Shelby is listed in many places, need me to get it for you? Why not ask them direct?
3. You are not on SCOF with two SPFs?

Woodz428,
2 more things. 1. Looks like you have done your best to move SPF inventory lately with a recent MkIII purchase as you boys have called them, and a coupe on order. I can understand why you are not on SCOF with all this recent SPF lust. 2. Looks like you clearly have the coin/credit to pull off something "higher priced" (I was gonna use the word better ) than a SPF...so what gives?
Do what I did, buy a real aluminum one and stay away from sites like this .

First, I know what the search button is and I couldn't find the thread that stated why there is such a pompous attitude here. I never made any statement about me thinking the SPF car was the best. It's what I wanted. I build rods and didn't feel like assembling a whole car with the number of cars currently in the shop. I like Deuces and don't care that the new Dearborn deuce cars we're getting aren't made by Henry.Secondly, I did check out the different mfg.'s prior to purchasing and chose what I did for several reasons. Thirdly, when I attend the Hot Rod trade shows the Shelby contigent is there and I have their info for the NV car (which I chose not to buy, for reasons other than Shelby) and the SA car came after I made the SPF order. They made the announcement on this forum and I didn't see a list of the standard features that every other manufacturer I've checked into gave WITHOUT having to call the them, that's what their websites were for, I thought. If they were listed maybe I didn't see it because of all the cross attacks that were going on. Much like this thread. Right now, I would never buy a Shelby, because quite frankly I don't think I could achieve the kind of arrogance that seems to be neccesary. I buy/build cars to drive, not as speculation pieces, if you don't drive them they are large awkward pieces of art. I will enjoy my SPF or Unique (there casaleenie) or what ever as much as a "Shelby" anything. The majority of the posts except for the initial one from Tom T about XK have all been basically attacks of one kind or another, yet noone either knows or would share the standard equipment.Which, if you will read, is what I was asking. But that's the way I came onto the board, in the Nascar 427 thread the poster claimed he knew how to identify a Nascar 427 because he owned a Classic. Now I have nothing against Classic cars, but anyone with even a little familiarity with the Cobra lines knows they are not "accurate", and all I said is that the Classic shouldn't be used as a yard stick (meaning for accuracy) and man all hell broke loose, you'd have thought I shot the Pope. I guess it's this type of thread that seems to get people upset when they complain about the forum in different publications. And to think, I thought that some of the people on the Hot Rod sites had bad attitudes.

Quote, FIRST post on this thread:
".....Shelby name (which ,unless attached to a '60's car is worthless to me)......"
Just in case you were wondering how the "fire" started, it was obvious to many of us immediatly there WOULD be a "fire".
".......SPF name (which, unless attached to 60's car would STILL be worthless to me)......"
You guys wouldn't mind if I made a statement like that would you? It seems so "harmless" and all (and pigs fly)!

You saw a Kirkham (mine) and a CSX (Turk's then/Semko's now)--both finished off with the highly-desired bullet holes. That "no-paint" was actually a "finish" that we both ordered instead of paint. The aluminum needed to result in that finish was included for free when you buy a Kirkham or a CSX 4000. My bullet holes were faster than Turk's.

Go with the Honda for the quality. Not enough curves in Nevada to enjoy the "6".
My work is done here...

The items mentioned above are probably extra because they might be features that potential buyers would not want as standard.

Woodz428. The post right after yours should have been clue one. Tom T's reaction was another one.
The point is, with about 140+ posts to your name as you post the above, you have been around this site clearly and I have seen your input on other threads which has been terrific. What you call a pompous attitude may just be some people extra sensitive to the "stir up the Shelby/Aluminum crowd threads". This one may have been innocent enough, but as a fellow of your means, if you are ready to buy a CSX after what you just swallowed, my hat is gladly off to you.
When you have a bill of sale, fax it to me, and I will issue a public "mea culpa".
P.S. it's all standard, depending on the price

Oh woodie, stickler for details here, you never did answer if you were in the market for a CSX4000 when you posted. From your follow on, I assume "no". Correct me if I am wrong. This debate is as old as Republican vs. Democrat.

Jamo,
As you know, I call it like I see it. Posturing from one owner to another, or from one group to another is ridiculous. Remember, I had the access, and saw the other forum first hand, so I must have posted what I did for a reason. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't you wish everything was so cut and dry in life. Wait, forget that, I forgot what profession your in .

We would not have all this bickering if everyone just bought a real AC......
An important thing that sort of gets overlooked during the ordering process is the completeness of the car upon arrival. For instance, who has the guts to drill holes for the top/tonneau cover in their aluminum or fiberglass body, or cut out side pipe holes, etc. A "roller" with all the stuff attached is what you have pictured in your mind, but then you get the car with instructions for mounting the top and side curtains, a stencil for cutting out big holes, etc.
The best Cobra is the one that YOU have the option to drive.
