Default Anyone been to the Shelby Collection in Boulder, Co?

Here is the deal, the whole tribe and I are driving to colorado springs for my neices wedding which is at 1:00 p.m. Saturday. I _could_ drive up to boulder 1 1/2 hour each way arriving when they open, spend an hour and drive back in time for the wedding. What do you think, worth the trip or not enough time to see it all? They are only open 10:00 - 4:00 on saturdays.

Thanks, Chuck

Definitely worth the trip. An hour may not be enough, though. I try to stop there whenever I'm in the area, as the displays change frequently. Kind of like Mecca for those interested in Shelby Americana.

Chuck,
Well worth the trip!!!! The collection is north of Boulder,1/2 way to Longmont, on hwy 119, off Jay road. Depending on your location in the springs, north side, I'd think 2 hours each way, good traffic conditions, would be a more accurate time factor. Unless your driving a cobra!!! Doubt you want to be late for the wedding. Collection will be more fun!! But hard to convince anyone else, unless the have the cobra bug. They had 17 Cobras, 3 GT350 mustangs, 1 Daytona coupe and parts of some GT40's the last time I was there,Dec '02 met Carrol Shelby also! for a benefit dinner.

It is worth the trip but the distance will definitely require closer to two hours from where you are. It would take me a good 45 mintutes from my house in Littleton and that was 60 miles away from Colo Springs

1 hr is not much time to see everything. Check the college Football schedule. We were there a couple of years ago on a Saturday and traffic was like Houston, due to a home Football game.
