Aluminium Nose Panels
Does anyone have any good front nose pictures in the gallery of their Cobras that have retro fitted aluminium nose panels. I bought a couple 4x8 sheets of .032 aluminium and a brake. Playing around with a few things (front spoilers, Ram air intake mods, wheel wells, front and trunk panels, etc.).
Beats watching the Bachelor with the wife and daughter.

Try stainless?
Clois, I replaced the fiberglass and aluminum panels in my SPF with 040 304 stainless steel in a brushed finish.
I also incorporated a stainless steel rock/bug screen (#10 screen) into the design.
You can veiw the pics in my gallery.
Hope this gets the creative juices flowing!

Clois
I made an aluminum liner for my nose cone. First I made a mock up out of pieces of a thin poster type board called "bristol board" here in Canada (I don't know if that is the name for it in the US).
I used this mock up as a pattern for the aluminium. The hardest part was formong the round shape because I think I used too heavy of a guage of aluminium. If your are in anyway mechanically minded you should have no problem making one.

Here you go...
Check out this view.
It is held together with
s/s hex screws and rivnuts
so I can take it apart.
Best,
Bill Cook
