Default Marks?

Let me tell you. Just a few weeks ago I was flying down under the bridge at Road Atlanta. While the crew did tire changes, I did underwear changes.

Yikes! Have you checked your buyer feedback lately?

Steve,
Don't you think that, his assesment of Cobras (ANY COBRA) is a little harsh?

What do you do with that thing Monday-Saturdays?
It looks like a billboard with wheels.

I don't believe every Cobra owner wants to race, and trailer to the track.
To take on the Cobras as to why somoone should buy one of those rather than a Cobra is silly.
I am not directing my comments to you , rather to the seller.

He says he sold "more than a few" to cobra owners. I wonder how many?

Uh,,,,,would "more than a few" be at least four? The beauty of a Cobra is being able to DRIVE it to a track and run. But hey, I could dig having a NASCAR car in my fleet! Weird comparison though.........

This is the guy I bought my car from. He has sold several cars to other guys I met who have had Cobra's. After doing his research and questioning all of us, he decided to run this style ad in order to enlighten others as he has enlighted me. While a rather unique approach of a comparision, it nonetheless does hit home to many Cobra owners who spend an easy 60K for a replica, bragg about how fast it is and are always are stuck explaining if it is real or fake. In cases common to Club Cobra, we have seen others get themselves killed on the street possibly along with some of their friends.
With the cup car, it is a real car with real history and from what I know, knowone has died in one lately in the historic events even after high speed wrecks.
I own one, it is a safe car. I have the full Nascar road race seat from Butler that costs over $1600 which is included in these cars.
Fast on the street for me had become meaningless because of too many speeding tickets and hearing of those dying in their cars. Let's face it. It's not safe to street race. On the track, you have the opportunity to live out speed to the fullest extent in a setting that is certainly a lot safer than the street.
-If you try it, you will be hooked forever and won't mind the trailer story.

If I really wanted to drive a NASCAR racer on a racetrack I would drive my Cobra out to TMS and do one of those NASCAR driving experience things. Then drive home in the Cobra...

Any modern Nascar stocker is as far from being a Real car as any kit car could ever be. Purpose built with no real factory parts on them. Now a Pre 1985 or so Stocker may have started as a "REAL" car and was converted to a race car. They are track only cars and are not intended for the street. Yes they are fun on the track but I only get to a track a couple of times per year so how fun can it be? Kind of like Christmas and Birthdays, fun but only two times per year.

I can enjoy my cobra any time I want(seather permitting) and take my wife for a ride if she wants to.

Now if I had 60K to spend for a toy I get to use less times per year than I get to enjoy wraping gifts then I might buy one.

For 60K I built a Cobra and bought my wife a 2002 Z3 and still have at least 12K left. That will buy me a lot of pride when my Toy car gets passed on the track by a "STOCK" car. While he is loading his car I will be on my way to the Dairy Queen for an Ice Cream in my toy race car.

Besides I bet you could build a nice version of a Early 80's or older stocker for far less than 60k. It might not have 700hp but 600hp is pretty cheep.

Harley's are nice but if all you have is enough for a Honda at least you are riding.

Have you checked the feedback or the status of the accounts that left me the negative feedback. Take a look, you will not be surprised. I stand by my reputation 100%, have always done so, always will. You've seen my ads on Ebay, have I ever not given more than a complete and 110% honest description of whatever I am selling....Also, take a look at my sig line, for anyone to have to knock another persons choices, in order to try and make a sale, is someone I would most likely not be doing business with.

All I am bringing out is that negative feedback has the potential for explanations on both parties. Why throw a rock on someone you don't know that you have not contacted for an explanation?
As for the sales comparison, the seller has sold cars (7) to Cobra owner and is just making a legitimate comparison to a group that might not be aware of what you can get and how much fun you can have. If it brings in one more customer, then I guess it worked.

If we were to view it as two neat cars instead of an either/or situation, I can say that the Winston Cup cars are a blast. I run a x-Bill Elliott car in HSCRA /HSR and it is the most fun thing I do. Steve, I did not know to come over and introduce myself at Road Atlanta, but that was really fun wasn't it ! I'm hooked.....
I'm lucky because I have both a Cobra and a Cup car, but there is really no comparison between the two. Completely different machines for different types of people. A better comparison would be the folks that race Porsches. I took my Winston Car to a Porsche club event at Road Atlanta, and they really liked it, much to my surprise. They are spending more money to go slower. If you ever have an opportunity to ride in a Cup car on a road race course, I think you will be amazed at the way you are pressed into your seat on acceleration, thrown into your belts during braking, and loose your fillings going around corners, plus it really sounds great and smells like race gas, hot oil, and burning rubber.
Regarding bad checks, negative feedback, etc. we don't know what you guys are talking about, and if you don't want to explain it in detail, why mention it at all ?

I will be at Daytona hopefully. Where is your home plate?
As for the check story...Mr Mustang had nothing to say but throw a rock because he looked up the feedback of the company selling the car. It was an unnecessary and irrelevant addition to the thread.
