As many posts as I have read here at CC, I have never seen a negative comment by a SPF owner about their cars. They have a great history on the track and on the street.

One of the better options available.

Can't comment on the ride or cowl shake, I'm just getting the last parts to install the engine. But as far as fit and finish,DAMN, I would put it up there with any vehicle, extremely fine. Since it's been here the last few weeks the parade of people have just been in awe of it's paint quality and the complete package.

Working in a shop that maintains cobras for many owners in Colorado I have seen many different car qualities. Factory Five, Shelly Valley, Classic, Autokraft, Unique, Superformance and others.

Before we became involved in Unique building we purchased a Superformance. Both of these cars have incredible fit and finish. Quality of detail is impecable. Detail to safety and handling are #1.

Someone said in an earlier posting "its not how much you spend as long as you're happy". Seeing the mirid of cars I see, I must object.

A car is only as good as the parts that are installed and only as safe as those parts and the person who installed them.

I have seen quick-jacks and bumpers installed into fiberglass only, poised to pierce cheap plactic fuel cells with the slightest nudge from behind. I have seen batteries precariously perched over radiators and cheap drum brakes and skimpy front discs to stop a Big Block V-8.

You can not expect cheap parts to propel a 2400 lb car up to 160 MPH and keep you alive if it doesn't turn when you tell it or brake when you need it.

Don't pay for a "VW" and expect a "Porche"

$pend it all the 1st time and then you won't have to revamp someone's poor judgment to compromise a good car because THEY ran out of money and you bought their "projct car"

There is nothing to dislike about an SPF car. No rattles, very reliable and really good at setting car alarms off. Don't try to eat soft ice cream cones and drive ..... hard ice cream is marginal. Should you have friends that own corvettes, some won't be friends anymore. The paint is beautiful as is the girls it attracts. A 60 year old corvette racer-owner told me that the sound of the SPF brings back painful memories.

Default You gotta love it

My car is great, plus I have ridden/driven in 5-6 other SPF's.

Handling is great - nothing rattles (you would need to turn the engine off anyway if you wanted to hear any rattles).

Paint is excellent, I polished it recently and it is awesome under any light conditions. In fact, someone was taking photos of it last Friday night at 11pm - saying how cool the paint job was.

What really sold me over other manufacturers was the quality of components that came with the car, plus they are always improving on their design. I agree with ColoradoCobras, when considering performance, safety and price.

I echo the comments of Roy Boy with regard to exceptional performance in setting off car-alarms - I don't recommend driving through parking lots unless you enjoy being deafened by alarms.

The only minor whine I have is that the driver's door is a little sticky to open sometimes, despite some adjustments.
