Not a best kit ?, but an ALL kits ?
I have been doing research for a while now and as soon as I think I am coming closer to a decision I stumble across another kit manufacturer, or even more confusing a dealer selling a manufacturer's kit?
Nothing would make me happier then if you all knowing Cobra folks can list all the manufacturers that you know.
I would greatly appreciate it!

Many are in the manufacturers forum. Aside from Unique which is worth a look.

ALL of them? There is neither time nor space to allow for such a list over the years and in present form.
Suffice it to say, their number is "legion". Heres one I bet VERY few have heard of yet!
Excalibur
Thats right, their BACK! I understand they will be selling "rollers" or "complete" cars only.

Curt Scott from cobracountry.com has a review of many of the current replica manufactures, now in a 3rd edition. It includes a little bio and a few pros for each, you won't find a whole lot of cons, it's not that kind of review. His web site has a section that addresses the bad apples.
I found it to be helpful to sort ot what are some of the important questions, and who should I be asking the questions of.
Maybe you will find what your looking for there.

Why don't you invest a few bucks and buy a couple of KitCar Magazines...especially the ones with the buyers guides? There are so many different manufacturers and cars out there and you expect one of us to sit down and get you a spreadsheet?
I can spend 15 minutes at the keyboard and find 98% of all kit manufacturers in the WORLD. Apparently you've not done as much research as you say.
No offense but go out and do some REAL research and then come back and ask some questions.

I am trying very hard to blurt out numerous swears in reply to your post. Perhaps I should clarify what I mean. I have done research I have about 15 manufacturers sites saved in my favorites. I have been looking for about 3 months now. My point is that I come across something new every now and again. I happened to come across one today when I read through 15 pages of posts on this site going back to july, yes nearly every post!
My point probably did not need to clarified as the other folks were nice enough to give me some info like rdorman, thanks for the unique tip.
So in closing I apologize for asking for a little direction from you, feel free to go back to whatever important work you were doing when I disturbed you by having you read my post.
Have a nice day

Hey Joebio,
Where did you get the "Happy Finger" used at the end of your last post?
I want one! Not that I would use it here

So you've been doing research for 3 months and only now found Unique? Hmmmm....maybe you should tone up your research techniques???
For instance: if you do a google search like this
http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...=cobra+kit+car
The third hit is kitcars.com. If you hit companies on their site you get every kit car manufacturer in the World, including Unique, with a description of what they make and links to their site.
Do the research,
Roscoe

Joebio,
If you've got 15 names over the last three months, as I see it you've got enough to make a very wise, educated choice. As I see it this is a very volitle market and there are change daily, just follow the SAI threads.
For me I really don't want this to be a choice driven by the cheapest, or the most recent flash in the pan. I strongly value the stability of build support, parts, and resale.
In my search this has led me to ERA. All the comments of ERA have been outstanding. I intend to hold off my impulse to buy now and save for what I see as a very valuable/wise cobra purchase.
Good luck in your search.
-John

Joebio,
Why not start with posting in the ones you know of, and then people can add some obvious ones and go from there. Would be much more productive for you and everyone else in the future. This way your thread could serve as a reference piece in the future.
