So what are the dimensions for the first emblem? Was it big or small, any sizes?

Emblem S1CS-A or the first (54?) cars.

Cheers
Migge

Question

Hmm, If I remember my friends 260 (#53) AC had no badges. Except the side badges "powered by ford". I'm not suprised, that there were serval different adaptations in the beginning.

When my car was painted I had the painter put the AC emblem on in gold leaf.

My choice was made after looking at as many pictures of orginal AC Cobras as needed to get that look.Only ones I compromised on were front fender badges instead of 427 mine have 460.

Man, you are so demanding of an old thread!

These are reproductions, but:

1 15/16"

2 5/16"

Thanks a lot, but I mean the OLD FIRST logo "SHELBY AC COBRA" or known as S1CS-4, page 3 in the thread.

Why mark the car as something it is not?
This makes sense to me, good answer.

From calculations and relations boot handle, number plate lamp etc. it must be 78 mm, a little over 3", so I guess 3" is correct. I have an answer from Dave and he said 74 mm wide, so just under 3". I 'll find out end of this month in SPA, where I can take some mesurements. Hope to see CSX 2049 or 2051 again.

If anyone wants the AC badges I had them made a few years ago, I have four left and I would sell them for $60 each unfinished. In order to finish you need to use touch up paint and the clear coat. Some sanding will also be required. I have showed what they looked like once done. The ones I have are rough aluminum.

Thanks,

Allan

I have the units on CNC with the supplier so if there was a number of guys who wanted them they still could be made.
