Anyone have any experience with Team C Racing? I was wondering if they are using someone elses body - Like Shell Valley.

Hey Chippy...

I ordered my car through Team C. Great bunch of guys...they bent over backwards for me.

As for the car, it's the same as an SVC. Just different distributor.

Give 'em a call....Talk to Michael or John. I'm very happy with mine. If you'd like to talk to me about it, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Chippy,

I was considering the Team C kit. Nice guys to talk with. Once I learned that their kit is actually a Shell Valley, I decided to "go upstream" and talk with SV directly.

You can't purchase the exact TCR kit from SV, but you can add/delete parts and pieces from an SVC to reach the same price point. That info comes from Rich and/or Dana at SV.

I'm visiting SV early next month to look at the builds and ask lots of questions. I'll post the results when I return.

So far, they are the manufacturer I'm choosing for my first kit.

Regards,

Tim

Thanks for the input Roxie. I am torn between B&B and Shell Valley. Both look like good companies. Let me know what you think after your visit.
By the way, what type of build up are you going for? Race, show, cruiser... What motor are you planning on running?

I'm shooting for a cruise type of car, with occasional show potential. I'm not really planning to race it.

Right now, the plan is to run a 427 block with a 428 crank. I'm also planning to run (2) 4-barrels.

That's what I am aiming at - cruise/show. But I am leaning toward the 302, or 351 engine, and 5 speed tranny.
