Default Cobra books

Has anyone read either of the following books?
Secrets of buying & building your specialty car on a small budget by Corey Rudl
The car builders handbook
by Doug McCleary
Just wanted to know if they were any good before I spend 20 bucks a piece on them.

Default Chippy......

...the McLeary Book, "Car-Builder's Handbook" is worth twice the money. My suggestion (once you've decided) is to get your first cobrs either a) used (I did) or b) in "roller" form---trat is, unless you're an ace mechanic with time and spaace. The ideaa (for me) was to get as much "seat-time" as possible. That is (with some "down-time" excluded, is what has happened). Once you're rolling, grab a copy of Paul Frere's "Sports Car and Competition Driving" and/or Carrol Smith's "Race to Win"----I recommend BOTH!

G'luck, mate.
