Post Black paint on fiberglass

I'm planning on purchasing a cobra (fiberglass body) and want it painted black, alot of black cars with fiberglass bodies that I have seen lack that deep rich look that metal body cars possess. Im not sure if it is due to a bad prep job prior to painting or lack of maintenance. Is there somthing I dont know about when it comes to a black paint job on a fiberglass body?

Smile REMEMBER

BLACK IS VERY HARD TO PAINT AND GET A REALLY DEEP LOOK.

MY PAINTER TOLD ME SOMETHING TO REMEMBER "YOU PAINT SH*T, ALL YOU GET IS SHINEY SH*T".

BLACK REALLY REQUIRES FIRST CLASS BODY PREP BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE EVERY FLAW. I HAVE SEEN SOME BLACK COBRAS THAT YOU CAN READ A NEWSPAPER OFF OF THE REFLECTION. PREP IS THE KEY.

With a black paint job that you want really perfect, have your body baked in a paint oven before doing any bodywork. FRP takes a while to stabilize, and the heat will accellerate the process.
