What a nice way to end a long day at work. Got home, brought in the mail, had a nice thick 2004 catalogue from Canton Racing, with a note from Patty there, "hal, i think you will like page 29 especially.
Lo and behold, there is a fine picture of the fat rump of my Red/White Stripe SPF on the page with all the Windsor Ford stuff,
oil sumps and such!! Can even read my NAM VET license plate.
That makes about 5 magazines and catalogues now for my car.
When i order some part from one of the race or part suppliers, i often write a note back, and enclose a pic or two of my car. I am, modestly speaking, a pretty accomplished photographer. Patty at Canton wrote back, last year, said "enough pics of the Accusump, show me the car!!"
So i sent her a few more pics, for her office wall, and i suppose she managed a way to finagle one of my handsome car into the new catalogue If you get it, check out page 29. This one taken along a split rail fence, where they filmed much of the Gibson movie "the Patriot".
Anyway, when you know one of the sales or tech people at this or that company, it sure makes for nice fast support and service.
I'll send Patty a nice framed 8x10 now, as a thank you. Just being thankful, and friendly in the way of all Southern Gentlemen.
