Question Price increases?

Which kits are planning price increases for the New Year?

I know that the Superformance Mk III's are going up a few thousand by the end of the year, approximitly 10%. If a Superformance is one of your choices I would inquire soon !

One of the Superformance dealers (who shall remain unamed) told me this exact same thing last year about this same time, and the prices didn't go up one dime. Pretty lame sales gimick if you ask me.

Russ

I've been around Superformance cobra's since mid 2001 and bought one in 2002 and this is the first I ever heard of a price increase, this came from the local dealer and the Superformance owners forum. Anything else is news to me !!!

Like all good things the price goes up. Cost of material and sometime labor keep rising. I remember when SPF came out and the price was 29,500.00 for roller.....

Hal,

I think the increase in the value of the Rand has more to do with the price increase than any lawsuits:

Well...gentlepeople. We compared the prime rate, price of gold, velocity of money (MV2), S&P, housing starts, Nikkei futures, the Euro/Yen ratio, the phase of the moon...and a few other variables in the equation. The end result? We decided to hold our pricing for 2004 and continue to increase our VALUE to you... The closer you look, the better we look.

I heard from an SPF dealer that the price was going up effective 12/12 of this year (Frank Sinatra's Birthday, as it happens). Also, did the CSX4000 go up to 42.5 yet, does anyone know? that was supposed to have happened already, i think?

Bob,

for those of us who don't know... what is the american price (in american dollars) that you're holding, thereby increasing american value to my american a$$?

i love the smell of value-priced, quality cobra replicas in the morning. smells like...victory!

I got one too, and a nice little postcard. It was the same one I got in November of 2002. Shortly thereafter I got the call from a salesman saying that I had better put my money down to reserve one at the current price. I wasn't able to do it so I waited it out.....and no price increase. This year may be different, but it sure did leave a bad taste in my mouth last year.

Just got back from Europe a few weeks ago. The American Dollar is taking a downward path in relationship to the Euro and other currencies. $1 American bought you 80 Euro Cents. It is no wonder that these imported cars are going up in price as their trade cost is increasing in relationship to the lower buying power of the Dollar.
