Thanks, Turk!!
Turk,
Have you resigned your position here to take up a job as safety director for NHTSA?
Thanks for all of the wonderful work you have put into this site to keep a bunch of individualistic Cobra folks civilized (I know, I'm lying). Please stay with us as much as you can. Thanks again.
Steve

Turk,
Thanks for all the effort. As Bill said, it is often a thankless job. But if no one did it, we'd have a big mess here. Thanks to you AND Ron.
By the way -- why resign? Potential conflict of interest of some sort perhaps?

Thanks for being the "crossing guard" for this bunch. It is always a thankless job.... until you leave. So, just take that BIG retirement check and fix that car of yours. You did get a "buy-out". Didn't you?

Turk,
I don't know you well enough to participate in the "roast", but I have always thought that you knew your stuff on the Forum.
I expect that you will continue as a member, so we won't be deprived of all your wisdom.
Continued success in all you choose to do with your time.

Turk,
I know this has been said several times on this thread but I must thank you for taking the time to help make sure the conversations on the site have kept on track and as positive as possible. I thank you for trying to keep us all aware that we are all Cobra fans and that we should show mutual respect to all regardless of the brand of vehicle in their garage.
Thanks,
R Brent Fenimore

It's about time.
I'm tired of fearing the results of identity theft at his hands.
He had a history of abuse.
It was clever of Brent to make him moderator in order to moderate his behaviour. I hope he retains the lessons he has
learned over the past couple years.
I know he must be champing at the bit to get back to his anything but moderate posting style. It must have been a
long term as a moderate for him.
An abusive man, jailed. I hope the rehabilitation sticks.

Well Jeb,
I guess the "bright" portion in your moniker is an oxymoron?
You appear under the disguise of a new name with only 1 post to your credit and you expect most of us to respect your opinion?
The Neanderthal links are quite appropriate and I'm sure they were readily available from your high school yearbook.
Turk was one of the fairest moderators that has graced this forum and as a result has developed/instigated more friendships than you have fleas.
Have a Happy Holiday Season. If there wasn't a full moon coming up next week, your post would be totally confusing.

Pay no mind to the haters, Turk. The intelligent ones on this site appreciate your efforts (and Brent and Ron).
So who is the younger, less experienced, less qualified replacement?

Marahaba Turk,
Thanks for all your time and energy.
Sorry my Turkish is so rusty, even POR-15 couldn't help me. The only other words I remember are Abi (friend?) and a phrase my mom had on a pendant that phonetically sounded sort of like: "I lost my d$ck" which if memory serves me loosely translates to "may god always be looking over your Cobra"

Thanks guys,
Such an overwhelming send off. Let me make it very clear. I have enjoyed this forum and have no intentions of going anywhere. I only resigned the position of a moderator, and one who will do a very good job will soon be appointed.
I have enjoyed everything in here for over three years. I am not going anywhere.
Earlier in the day someone sent an email asking me my reasons for not wanting to be moderator. I replied to him explaining what brought this about. Rather than re-write it all, I thought I would copy and paste excerpts from it in here.
I post a lot as it is. As you know we also have our little Gashole thing going for just giggles (not a Cobra site by any means, and never meant to be).I also have couple of projects such a finishing the CSX4308, and completing the emission issues with the Porsche 930 Turbo.
I started running out of time. I enjoy posting, and sometimes it is really tough to do both. If I was just a moderator and did not get engaged in so many topics and didn't have Gasholes.com to deal with it would have been more leisurely. As it is, it left very little time for family and work.
Oh yeah,I keep forgetting I have to work.
So it felt like it was time to sit back and enjoy the forum as a participant for a while like I have for over three years. So much easier to engage in some threads without the added weight of having to do it so they don't think you are pushing your moderator status on them.
Basically I am trying to relief myself of some of the routines I had gotten myself into and trying to create more free time for myself. That is all.
With as many posts as I had, never for a moment did I think I wouldn't manage to piss of a few. I did. I will stand on my record of those I made friends with in the same time period as those whose feathers I ruffled a little.
It was time to move on..
TURK
Mr. jeb,
If you would be so brave as to (just once) tell us what other user names you post under in this forum, I bet it would be very obvious to the membership what your real agenda is. I doubt it seriously you want to go through the rest of your life just stalking me. Go away!!
Refreshing to see that you managed to irritate as many in one post as I did in 4600. Good start. Should I say, finish?

Turk,
Sorry to see you leave your crossing guard duties of lessor talent. Whether you irritated some or not the respect is always there. In reading some the respones it feels like we are giving your euolgy.... far from it. Thank you Turk doing a thankless job.
Any chance we will see csx4308 for the fling ?
