I think Turk and Ron (and Brent) realize that the most effective moderators aren't "micromanagers" and allow the natural ebb and flow of thread to run it's course, only moderating when needed thus making those infrequent "moderations" a lot more effective.
One of those times when less is more. Kind of like a small block on a road course?

I was in awe of the warm sensitive way Turk managed to moderate. Having been moderated on occasion, I hope his replacement has the same sensitivity that can only come from a senior citizen with many decades of experience.
I can only hope that I have the same level of tact when I become very old. Later dude.

Old? Turk is older than Moses but well preserved for his age.
The doctors said it's either Prozac or Viagra, depending on which problem was most important "at hand". Prozac wanted him as a poster child and Viagra wanted him as a spokesperson for NASCAR. Being the true enthusiast, he chose Viagra.
We don't plan to tell him that it's NOT a suppository for a few weeks.
We still haven't told Evan who now has the Michael Jackson walk down pat!

.......Turk needed to get a 2nd job to help pay to get his car smogged and TITLED in Kalifornia! (I still remember your post about that, Turk!)
...Good luck as the WalMart greeter. I think you should park your car out front and greet people from the drivers seat!
It's been a pleasure getting scolded by you, and also a pleasure reading your many post. I always look forward to reading what you have to say on every subject. I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum that has learned a thing or two from your knowledge and experience dealing with this Cobra "hobby" of ours.
Say........now that you are retired as a moderator, will we finally get to hear what you REALLY think? ........YIKES!!!
You ARE the man........best of luck during "retirement"!
Turk, Thank You! I have been a frequent lurker yet infrequent poster for the past few years. Primarly because I don't yet have my cobra and also because my typing skills suck! But, Thank You I know it has been a most challenging nightmare!
