submitting photos

I have tried to submit photo's into my gallery but always get the message file exceeds 300 kb. What do I have to do to get my photo's submitted. I am not that smooth with the confusers. Thanks for any help. Bly.

bly... typical files directly from scanners and digital cameras are too large for easy internet transfer.

You have to edit the picture file to reduce its file size.

Use the photo software that may have come with your scanner or camera.

First, verify you are trying to upload a .JPEG file. (.BMP and TIFF are usually way too big). I f not, use the software to save as a JPEG file type.

Next, resize the image to reduce its file size... 640x480 or 800x600 are optimal sizes for the Gallery.

Try and edit the picture to get the filesize around 70-80k for the gallery.
