Default Merry Christmas from "down under"

Hi all

Well we are heading into a warm Christmas holiday period here in Australia and that means it gets busy for everyone in the food and hospitality area.

Thought I would take this chance, whilst it slow at work to say a big thank you to all those wonderful people who made me feel welcome at the recent 'Run N' Gun'.

Please pass on my thanks and wishes to those who may not read this forum - are there any??

It was very much appreciated.

The hospitality, the Georgie moonshine and not to mention those one or two fast laps in cars there.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Stay safe there on the roads.

Cheers

Bernie

Bernie,

It was a pleasure to meet you and get to spend a little time visiting with you in St. Louis. By the way have you got that awful taste out of your mouth from that Moonshine that was brought up from Georgia?

I did catch the bit about the warm weather moving in...
Our friends back east has been hit really hard with heavy snow and as we speak I am getting snow at my house now (not much and it won't stick ). It was 63 degrees when I went to work this morning and 30 degrees now. Go figure.

I hope we get to see you next year at Run and Gun.

Merry Christmas

Clois

Clois,

Thanks for the wishes there.

Could not look at alcohol for about a week after. In fact when I fuelled the car up the smell of the gas took me back to the night at the Run N' Gun and the Georgia moonshine.

Drinking moonshine out of jam jars. George Anderson telling me to drink up and trying to convince me that the moon was upside down in Australia. Trust Gessford Engineering to put the moon upside down.

And you guessed it they warned me to sip it .."oh yeah" .. as I just pour it down like beer.

Big mistake. Can still taste it now. Octane rating off ??

Just had a few days of hot weather here at 34c (95 - 98f) and its been even hotter in Melbourne. It is summer and we can't or don't want to complain.

Hope to get back next year for the "Run N' Gun" but this will depend on dates as I think the guys from Kit Car were talking a date a week earlier?

I will check with Wayne (wtcobra) for the dates.

Again all the best for Christmas.

Cheers

Bernie

Hey

Thanks Rick, I hope you and your family have a great Christmas there.

Fosters is very popular over here also but "VB" - Victoria Bitter - is the choice of champions - not me - I just watch and see what happens, They tend to fall over.

Seriously, we will be busy over Christmas, but thats great.

I have plenty of opportunities coming up to drive the car so I will. It goes into the paint shop over Easter next year about April. So I will sneak out and have plenty of drives before it goes into the shop.

There are a few photos of the car in Gel coat there on the "Australian Club" site under "Bernies really doers have a Cobra."

Again, hope you all have a great Christmas and thanks again for making me feel most welcomne. I will keep the photos also.

Cheers

Hey guys

Only eight days here to Christmas.

Thanks for the emails.

Yeah sure hope to get to the next 'Run N' Gun'. Will see when the Kit Car guys schedule the event.

I think there was some discussion on having the event a week or two ealier.

Will get 'Kit Car' to see if I managed to get my big head in it on the parade run.

Cheers
