Attention Brent
Brent,
I just got off the phone with a senior AOL tech and he gave me the number to call to get the techs that handle the servers. However they will not talk to me other than to tell me they will only make that information available to whichever person is actually in control of the servers at the club. I told them it was all versions of AOL fron 7.0 up that I have verified, operating systems from 98 through XP Pro., both dial ups and people using the bring your own server high speed connections such as Roadrunner and others, and it just happened one day as if it had been cut off. I know that you are really busy, but when and if you ever get the chance try calling this number and these are the people that actually know what is going on and how to look at their servers.
1-888-212-5537 I also told him that I had sent numerous e-mails to the post master and that you had sent one that I knew of with absolutely no response. He seemed willing to help, but their policy forbids them giving out that type to information except to another webmaster I guess.

I'll try calling this weekend. I think I know why you're not getting the mail if you read my announcement.

Just called them and their tools are down to be able to check and see what is going on. Of course. I'll try back in a few hours.

Brent,
Sorry but I must have missed your announcement. Could you point me to the post it is in please?
Edit: Brent, sorry to have bothered you. I just logged in and hadn't gone to the lounge until just now. I do get that dam Viagra crap but it winds up in my spam folder and I have never seen any in there with the clubs name as the domain. If I find more than 2 with the same name or domain I block them myself. And I think everyone in the club knows that you would not allow this. I will watch my spam folder a little closer and start making some inquires about certain names or places that show up instead of just sending them on to AOL and then blocking them myself. I used key words to block and hardly ever get a spam in my mail as it all goes straight to the spam folder. We really appreciate all of your hard work.
Thanks,
Ron

Brent,
AOL has the attitude that they are to big to be bothered. Along with a lot of techs who don't deserve the name. It took weeks and threats of people leaving them from all over the world to get them to fix the e-mail problem some time back. I like some of their features, but am seriously looking at going the wireless route once they get it here which will be about April according to the DigitalPath person that I talked to. I may keep AOL so I can dial in if I am away from home to check e-mail as I have so many people with that address I would forget to notify half of them. I have called them twice about this problem and both times was told that they will only talk to the webmaster as this doesn't involve me. I told the last guy that it involves everyone on AOL that is losing e-mail and he got quite nasty about the fact it is not their concern if we don't get e-mail from some club. Also their mirrowing of sites is a pain in the ass at times as they don't update quickly. When I told them I use the IE to browse so I can download pictures in JPG format they really got nasty. So, don't worry about this as it will get corrected one of these days. Thanks for all of your effort and hard work.
Ron
