I see that you are in Calif. but didn't list just where. However, there are undoubtedly some car clubs around close that have Cobras. That is a great place to start. Look at the dirrerent brands, how they have them set up , talk to the owners, decide if you want a car to just cruise in, to cruise and an occasional day at the track, or an all out track car. Then you will have to decide if you want to make it look as original as possible or if you don't care about that. Don't even ask about the BB vrs SB. There are at least 100 posts here covering that and Turk still insists on the BB.
If you can find anyone who is close and will let you drive theirs, drive some of them and see what you like and don't llike about them. Prices are all over the range. I have seen some nice ones for around 30K and some that have 150K in them. Do you want a turn key or are you going to built it. Those are all things you have to decide for yourself. Also what options you might want. Remember, you are getting this car for yourself and you aren't going to get the pproval of everyone no matter what you do. Welcome to the club and keep reading and looking and asking questions.
