I guess I misunderstood.
When doctors are on vacation they usually have other doctors that cover for them. Its rare doctors just pick up and leave on vacation without arranging any covering doctor. What did the covering doctor say?
Flu shots have been available for over 2 months. Did he get one?
Cold compresses and sponge baths with rubbing alcohol to take the temp down I think may be wise.
No blood was drawn for a screen at the hospital? No physical exam of the chest? You better get you child to a good pediatrician. Some of these doctors will kill you.

Mr.M- I'll take those chips. Wasn't aware of the NJRC meeting. Please post details when it gets closer, I would love to go.
Dano- I'm not familar with 2 fingers (unless I've really pissed someone off on the road ), seems everything gets poured with 4.
"I guess I misunderstood"- Evan, didn't I tell you earlier on in this thread that you were confused

I was in the Army during the Viet Nam war and fortunately none of the three years of Army life was spent in Viet Nam....
However, I did see action... I was involved in the now famous "One Day War" in the Dominican Republic....
What can I say about war???? War is Heck!!!!! Sure, that's strong language but I think it's apropos in this situation....
Operation Powerpack..... Boy, there's a name that's on the tip of everybodys tongue....
One day of police action and then 179 days patroling the beach....
Sure it was tough.... you try 180 days of sun, surf and beautiful girls with dark complextions... (not that I noticed)
I was undercover of course... I'm white,in fatigues, wearing a straw hat and carrying an M-14.. I was nearly invisible....
Bottom line--- no one stole the beach while on my watch and after six months they shipped me back to North Carolina kicking and screaming.... (that was the violent time during the whole six months)
Was anyone else on this forum in the Dom Republic at that time??
Just curious....

Evan,
The temporary fill in doctor does not know Josh, does not know enough about his medical history, nor did he really check his records as he seemed stressed with the workload in hand. I had to fill in a lot of the history for him, explain the 500mg tablets of amoxacillin, etc..........he went through the basic motions (which I filled in his regular peditrician on)......Apologies galore from her......Of course that still does not make me worry about my son any less (as a father, I know you understand exactly how I feel).....Lots of blood work today at the hospital (his ped. is in her own office complex), chest films taken and read by a board certified radiologist, all clear in that regard.......We'll just muddle through until the blood work comes back....Temp as of ten minutes ago is at 103.1, so we are down a little. More fluids are most certainly in order (liqualites(since the wife works for Gerber medical, a division of Novartis)and gatorade), more motrin/tylenol and lots of sleep......................OH yeah, and the first candle on the menorah (and the associated present that goes along with it)..................Everyone have a good evening..........
Sincerely,
Bill S.

Techinically, the CSX is the only car legally entitled to carry the name "Cobra".

Maybe you are right but good ole Evan has on many occassions stated the continuation cars should not be compared to the others b/c they are "REAL" . So to me that very much implies he is trying to say his car is better than any other. Which could be true, but why continually say it? B/C he has an insecurity problem. Evan tries to impress and unfortunately no one hears what he thinks he is saying.

Never cared for horses much. Grew up in Virginia, REAL horse country. Took up dirt bikes instead.
Thanks for the invite though.
Nuke427: What I said was that the CSX shouldn't be compared in the replica category since its a genuine Cobra. That doesn't make it better or worse its just that its different in that regard. I've tried to make my point clear. It routinely gets twisted.
If you're definition of Cobra replica is stuck on all that which is not a CSX2XXX or CSX3XXX then include the CSX4XXX in the comparison of replicas. Fine. I understand that around here many who don't have a CSX will continue take the position that if its not "made in the 60's its not REAL". Thats fine and I never expect that to change that around here. Thats not factually and legally correct nor does it agree with SAAC's definition but, around here I understand why its stuck there.
If your definition of "Cobra replica" is everything which isn't a genuine Cobra not having its origin with Shelby and Shelby American and you can follow the concept and the fact that there are now original Cobra and the Continuation series of Cobras the new CSX doesn't belong in the replica comparison. For better or worse.
Would the Continuation series Cobras have been any more a Cobra if they were made by SAI in the 60's, like say 1969 or early 70's after a short stop in Cobra production in 1968? So the gap in production was a little longer starting in the 1990s. Whats the difference? To me none. The first and second series are nearly identical in every respect and the only thing that separates them is when they were made and the hands that fabricated them and the method of fabrication as the new Cobras benefit from modern production techniques and materials. The difference separates them as to original and non original but not as to being a geniune Cobra.
If Shelby American produced it and it legally has the right to wear and carry the Cobra name and logo its a Cobra. When doesn't matter it that regard.
In the end my car cannot be a replica of a Shelby Cobra if it is a Shelby Cobra. Thats all I'm saying. I'm not saying this to elevate myself or my car above anyone or anything nor trying to impress. I'm just pointing to the facts and what the CSX is. If it makes some feel that means I'm sayng "mine is better than yours" I can't help that eventhough thats not at all what I'm saying. But when guys here or anywhere say the CSX is just a replica thats the equivilent of saying its not entitled to be recognized as what it is. In response I'll just politely point to the facts and if they take that response as saying mine is better than theirs then all I can say to them is TS.
I hope this clarifies things.

Evan....
....can you explain why there are about three hundred other CSX4000 owners who are apparently perfectly happy with what they have and don't feel the need to constantly take out their paperwork and show their titles to everyone?
sheesh... just go drive the damn thing before it rusts.
Casa... we're not going to close a thread just because it's gotten boring...as this one has.
Stop responding and it will go away by itself.

Go ComputerWorks!
Ron,
Couldn't agree more.
I have a friend that owns both a CSX4000 & CSX7000. He also has a couple of race cars. He is the most unassuming guy on the planet. Never talks about this stuff.
I have another friend with a CSX4000. He has 3 vintage race cars, 2 Mustangs and a Camaro that also is a great guy and NEVER talks about this. If anything he ENJOYS the provenance of the race cars and sharing the history with those that ask.
Had another CSX4000 owner that built the most complete replica of CSX3002 ever built. He is a wealth of accurate historic details that he compiled on his own.
All great guys that never talk down. I like straight shooters!
Just one man's opinion.

....bingo, Johnny Mac.
I mean, come on... give it a rest.
Hey Evan... I have a REAL Shelby too... 1966 GT-350 ...
and you know what? I have NEVER had to say it's real....
when people say it's a nice Mustang...You know what I say?
"Thanks."
You have got to find another aspect of this hobby to make you happy. Spending all your time staring at an MSO? ...you are missing a lot of other fun.
